"Last night we had a party of 6 and arrived at 8:00pm, the restaurant was pretty empty and it doesn't close till 10:00pm per their website. We were immediately seated. They were well staffed which was a pleasant surprise. We were the last group in section as everyone else was finishing up and left approximately 5 minutes after our arrival. Our service was horrendous to say the least, our waitress was more concerned about cleaning up the area then providing customer service. Drinks were empty, multiple missed items from our order, we almost had to beg to get anything from her. It was so disappointing. I could have understood if they were short staffed or we showed up 5 minutes before they closed, but this wasn't the scenario. I get it maybe she was having a bad day but thats when the manager is doing rounds following up with customers. He was no where to be found. I tipped well but i was so disappointed. Please avoid this location if good customer service is what you are looking for."
"Came in to pick up one gift! Instead, we ordered the Christmas dinner feast and purchased 5 gifts! Spoke with Cracker Barrel employee Mary before arriving, she was so sweet on the phone and answered all my questions! When we were looking around in the gift shop I recognized the voice I heard on the phone. I asked if she was Mary…and told her I had spoke with her. She and her two elves were so helpful, gracious and exactly what Cracker Barrel stands for. We are looking forward to visiting again soon! Merry Christmas Mary! We wish you and your family a happy holiday season!"
"Over 40 years of enjoying delicious Cracker Barrel food was ruined in one breakfast. Country fried steak was obviously freezer burnt before but cooked firmly into a solid disk anyway. I held it aloft like a notecard, after scrapping crust off to reveal hard beef, my waitress kindly asked if I would like another. Absolutely! A few moments later the plate returned. Same steak but this time the bottom was covered in the coagulated brown grease from a hamburger steak and the crust I had scraped off was still present. My waitress asked if I wanted another. I then asked her, is the manager cooking? The reply was yes. I told her speaking to him would do no good. She then tried to defend by saying I saw him cook it fresh. I told her about the crusted pried off earlier and she said sorry. I’ll include a photo from the freshly cleaned restroom as well. Be careful out there. Best to stay home and eat."
"Our server was excellent. The major issue is they have cut back portions so much that we got literally 1 tablespoon of hash brown casserole, no grits anymore and my god they jacked the prices up. $3.49 for a small 14ounce cup of iced tea. We spent $45 for two people. Pictured is the size of the to-go tea."
