"Everything is the same as when I was a kid, except the music. When I was young, they played heavy, dark music that you'd never hear on the radio. Now they play top 100 "alternative" pop music. One song I literally heard five minutes later in the book store. It's not a big deal, I suppose, but it made me feel basic. I used to feel out of place until I entered a Hot Topic. Then I'd feel normal inside. That's gone. You've become safe for normal people trying to be "cool""
