"Went in looking for Fantasy. They had a decent variety and some titles I've never seen before. I didn't like how the prices for the books wasn't in the book itself in didn't see a sign saying what they might cost either. I don't want to go up to the register with something I'm set to get and be attacked by the price. Maybe there was a sign saying the prices. If so I will edit this post if I see it or a pic."
"Nestled in the heart of downtown Rome, Georgia, Dogwood Books is a literary oasis that captivates from the moment you step through its charming entrance. From the warm greetings at the door to the carefully curated shelves, this bookstore is a haven for book lovers. The store itself is a masterpiece of organization and aesthetics. The layout is intuitive, inviting exploration without overwhelming. Each section seems to have been meticulously arranged, with books that beckon you to discover new worlds and ideas. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it easy to lose track of time while browsing the shelves. What truly sets Dogwood Books apart are the delightful surprises tucked away among the literary treasures. As I perused the shelves, I discovered enchanting little touches that added a layer of magic to the bookstore experience. I especially liked the photos of people immersed in books adorning the end caps. All the thought-provoking quotes by literary giants sprinkled about reminded me of the profound impact books can have on our lives. The real gems, however, were the books themselves. Dogwood Books boasts an impressive selection, and it's clear that every title has earned its place. I found rare editions, obscure titles, and long-lost favorites, each waiting to be discovered. It's a testament to the careful curation and dedication to offering a diverse and rich collection that spans genres and interests. In the end, Dogwood Books is more than just a bookstore; it's a celebration of the written word. From the warm welcome at the door to the carefully chosen books and the magical details that adorn the space, every aspect is a testament to the love of literature. If you're a book enthusiast or just looking for a cozy place to explore, Dogwood Books in downtown Rome, GA, is a must-visit."
"This is such a cute place! There are so many hidden gems in this book store, specifically rare older versions of books that are a little worn. There are many different genres within the store, so anyone can find their pick. The store keeper is super sweet, so definitely stop by!"
"Independent bookstores are priceless gems for building a sense of place and community and this one is no different! Walking thru its inviting aisles of meticulously curated categories, all well organized, interesting and some quite intriguing like the local schools' vintage yearbook collection or the periodicals, all served as fantastic finds. I enjoyed speaking to the owner to better understand the legacy and perseverance that it takes to own such an important pillar to the community. I bought a 1964 map of US thinking it will serve as a great tool that navigate the old forgotten roadways that built "small town" America."
"Absolutely fantastic book store! I could have stayed in there all day. They had books on subjects I don’t typically see, and the prices were very reasonable. The person who checked me out was super friendly and there were a couple of comfy chairs from which to check out books. Highly recommended!"
