"Unfortunately I just left this store and I had a bad experience. I was in the store for over 10 and no one greeted me or offered me assistance. An employee an older white woman looked at me but she asked another white customer if they needed assistance. So I asked her can I please get assistance since I’ve been in the store awhile. She made an excuse that she needed to take off clothing on a mannequin. I waited and she finally came back and assumed that I wanted to get old merchandise or clearance marked down items. I explained to her that I prefer newer merchandise. So she pointed for me to go over on the other side. Then she offered to help someone else without finishing helping me. The Bottom line is that this woman didn’t want to help me because in my opinion how I looked. I’m a young black woman dressed in gym clothes and a military veteran that served my country with honor. Well Chico lost a sale from me because I left the store. What’s more worse is that she wanted me to get upset so that it would look like I have the problem, but again I left the store quietly because I can shop where I’m welcomed and treated with class and respect."
