"I called to make an appointment today as a customer who had been going here for years, only to find out that you will no longer be able to see a doctor in person, as they'll be operating remotely ONLY from now on. I've switched to Brown's Eye Center instead, as they're fantastic, so far. I'm a technologist, so I'm all about technology when it's NOT pervasively overwrought. When I mentioned this, the rep said (in a very misinformed manner, obviously,) "sir, it's 2024 now and that's just the way things are done now," as if insulting my intelligence. My dear, I've been in IT for over 30 years now, so I actually do have a clue about this, and you're sorely mistaken. After calling numerous eye doctors in the area, all actually chuckled at this thought as well. I finally came to rest at Brown's Eye Center because of their reviews and perfect attitude!"
"My wife and I made appts here. They sent a text asking us to confirm with a link to click. The link required you to have a portal account but had no option to create one. We later got a text saying "We are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow at 10:40 for your appointment!" We assumed this to be confirmation of our appointments. Nope. We took off work only to be told when we arrived that they gave our appointments away despite their office having sent a confirmation text and sending no warning that the appointments would be canceled. They said they intentionally book overflow and cancel any appointments that don't confirm. a) it would have been nice to know the appointment was cancelled before we took off work and b) who intentionally overbooks customers?? How is that part of your business model? Terrible customer experience."
"I have been going to MyEyeDr since 2019 and have loved them! Kelley Simmons is seriously the best, too! She always takes good care of my family and me and the doctors we've seen, especially in the Macon office, have been wonderful! Definitely recommend 10 out of 10!"
"I've been going to the office since I was about 10 years old. It was so nice before they sold out. I saw the same doc every year and felt totally comfortable with all the staff. The girl who used to order contacts was always so helpful and patient when monthlies stopped working for me and it took several brands to find comfortable dailies. Now it's way too corporate. They want you to make your appointment online instead of talking to someone. All new doctors and several new staff members and they just aren't friendly like the old team. I probably would've been ok with most of the changes, but the girl who did my paperwork for contacts and glasses tried to convince me that the sample contacts she provided were the same as my current ones, just a "new and improved" version. Wrong. I know my contacts, but I took them and told her I would call back to order. They weren't even the same brand. They were cheaper. If she had been honest I probably would've tried the sample anyway to save money, but I'm not sure why she lied about it when I specifically told her that it took me and the old girl several tries to find my brand and they were working for me. Then when I called back to order my preferred brand the girl on the phone had the nerve to question me about why I wanted a different brand through an online vendor like I was offending her. I ended up ordering from their office because they price matched my brand but it shouldn't have been so difficult. Then I got a text when my glasses were ready so I went to pick them up at 11:55 the same morning and they were closed for a staff meeting until 1:00. Very annoying. I won't be back."
"Had a great experience from the moment I walked in the door and the best customer service. The optician, Barbi was very knowledgeable. She took the time to find out what I needed and what my preferences were. She walked me through the different brands they had and hand-picked pairs of glasses that best fit my face shape. It was a great experience and I appreciated her sincere effort. I love my glasses and would've never found them if it hadn't been for her!"
