"I had very high hopes for Dr Dutta. I had been impressed with him as a patient at Peachford Hopsital (although the program there is horrific to say the least). He is extremely intelligent and definitely knows his medicaitons. I have to say that maybe my third appointment in, after making a lighthearted joke with his receptionist regarding him (I had put him on a pedestal in my mind...I meant no harm to it). Needless to say he reminded me of someone with sadistic tendencies. He wouldnt let me get 3 words out of my mind without interrupting me. His whole demeaner toward me changed. He suggested a medication, and after mocking me, because I work closely with my fiance regarding my psychiatric care, he told me if I wanted to know anything about the medicine, "to google it". I ended up having to go to the ER to stablize my physical health, and was almost admitted, but then released that night to go home. He ignored my messages to him repeatedly. When I told his receptionist that I would like a meeting with Dr Dutta as a consumer not a patient, she told me perhaps I should get a therapist. Which I had. It was her suggestion to try to set up such appointment. Although I hope he did not treat me worse than others, at the same time...I pray that he does not treat anyone else like he did to me that day. He seemed dominant and demanding almost and like I said reminded me of a sadist. If you have to go to Peachford for protection of your life or others, see if there is a way you can see any doctor but him, although Im pretty sure he is lead psychiatrist over the adult program. This really scares me. I wonder how many days, months or years have been traumatically affected due to this man's approach to psychiatric care."
