"Do not see Release Counseling. Simone Cox pressured me to go back into an emotionally abusive relationship without any solutions or boundaries. I went to this therapist, and ended up saying multiple times that there was nothing that I could say that the therapist would hear; the therapist was taking sides and dismissing what I was saying. She replied, "I'm sorry you feel that way," a fake apology. It was a very painful experience. I would share hurtful and damaging experiences and we zoomed past them, never analyzed them. Once I said something, we were on to the next thing. It really minimized very hard experiences that I had, and only served to re-traumatize me. I did 8 sessions here and felt like every time I was going that I was trying so hard to get her to understand and process my perspective. That never happened."
