"Dr. Iqbal Dhanani at Anchor Hospital is running the largest mental health insurance scam allowed under Georgia law. He uses a 1013 hold which allows a doctor to evaluate a patient. Fair enough but if the patient has health insurance, it will ALWAYS be the max time frame allowed to collect the maximum health benefits payable from the insurance. If a patient does not have health insurance, he releases them. Trying to get my daughter to proper care, I have watched mentally ill patients get thrown out on the street and when I asked, they said they were only held for one night. The doctor yelled at my daughter and instructed her to call me and tell me to stop requesting her release or he would hold her till I stopped. He then instructed her that for him to release a patient at their own request, they have to sign a voluntary admittance (deception on a patient in a mental facility) which then allowed him to invoke another 72 assessment timeframe which is allowed by GA law as a separate hold as it was two separate intakes. If they are incapable of being in society how can the law protect them from his deception? Where are the rights of the patient? He hold patients for 6 days only to collect the maximum health care cost possible. Those without healthcare are either release after 24-48 hours or not even accepted. This doctor is a detriment to Fulton County mental health and the state of GA. Mark my words, if you have health insurance, don't expect o see your child for 6 days. If you DO NOT have insurance you can pick them up tomorrow! No care, only mental health warehouse."

"While inpatient at Anchor Hospital Dr. Dhanani never returned my phone calls. My husband called me and was clearly hallucinating. After 11 days I finally got in touch with him. Instead of "managing his medications" like hios Dr ordered, Dr. Dhanani D/C'd his psych drugs cold turkey. If you love your family member never use this doctor."
