"Dr. Basilio has been our children's pediatrician since Summer 2004. At that time we were expecting our youngest child, and I had called around to several family practices, looking for a good fit for our family. We are generally self-pay so appreciate a cash discount. We homeschool and appreciate a family-friendly professional environment. We do opt for some vaccinations but not all, and appreciate a family practice that is supportive of our approach. Dr. Basilio and her staff have not disappointed us - they been a blessing through the years. When we need an appointment for a sick visit they can generally work us in. (Although sometimes there is a longer wait than I'd like. At this point I know to bring a book to read.) When it's time for a not-sick-appointment/check-up, they are accommodating. When a prescription needs to be called in to the pharmacy they assist promptly. I haven't seen the turnover with this practice that I've come to expect at other health care providers. It is reassuring to see familiar faces in the office and support staff. The only drawbacks I've experienced are tight parking at the 13th Avenue location, and a bit of a wait at times. Also, I wish this was a complete family practice, so my husband & I could be patients here as well. And so my children wouldn't outgrow their pediatrician."
