Reviews of Atrium Health Navicent Peyton Anderson Cancer Center
"Great staff and a comfortable, clean place. I have had no issues at all."
"I feel like I have been doing a lot of reviews the past several days, but due to my dad getting diagnosed with cancer we have had several appts to Macon. During this time you never know what to expect with each new doctor you see and place you go. You have a guard up before you walk in because you are scared someone is not going to be compassionate or care. With that being said, it has not been that case at all with any visit my dad and I have went to so far. Last week we saw Dr. Sumrall to talk about daddy's cancer. He was extremely nice and assured us that we have been taking all the right steps and optimistic about where we go from here. He made sure we had a game plan and even looked at his schedule for us to give us a heads up when he would be at that office since we are only available to come one day out of the week. Then, we went to get a PET scan at the same center yesterday. It wasn't a good appt due to my dad's blood sugar being high and that is crucial when getting PET scan. It was a wasted trip due to not being able to do it that day. HOWEVER, the tech made the trip feel not wasted because she came to the waiting room, sat down, talked to my dad and me about what the best thing to do to ensure this doesn't happen again. Wrote a lot of good instructions for us, explained that it was okay and if we stuck to this she assured we will be able to get this done. She even went as far as to go back and research my dad's insulin and make sure it was okay for him to take the day of. This cancer goes above and beyond. Thank you so much for your time and patience with us. Haley and family."
"I took a client there for a PET scan, as I was sitting in the waiting area and noticed how rude and unprofessional the lady (Ann P) who works there was being. She was calling the patients names and talking about them in a very bad manner. Apparently she don't care about being professional and must think the people in the waiting area can't hear her. I'll glad the one's she was talking about didn't hear her even though someone needs to put her in her place because if she don't want to be here she shouldn't be here."
"I Have been to this office several times with different family members & have always had great experiences with all staff from front check in to check out. Today was different and extremely unprofessional situation, seen by physician assistant Morgan who was a waste of time and money. Morgan adding nothing new to assist my family member with his current health situation. She has bad manners and obviously knows nothing about patient care or blood level comparison and no clue what to do or say as a possible solution that may help him. She was clueless as to what was going on from the moment she entered the room. She sat at the computer with her back turned to my uncle (patient) looking at his blood work and never gave any thought process as to why his blood levels are low. There's a lot I'd like to share about her lack of exceptional and compassionate care. It's very emotional & difficult to even go to a cancer center. My father was a patient at this facility prior to his death and my family never experienced any staff such as Morgan. This young lady is not a good fit in Cancer Care. There is no excuse for this. I did speak with the office manager during check out and I feel confident she will communicate my concerns with the management team about this staff member. My Uncle went home feeling very sad, concerned, & helpless about his current health challenges."
"Very pleasant experience. My son has very hard to get veins. He had been "stuck" several times previously at another center. His NURSE here, Got a good vein in a few seconds with one attempt. All staff were friendly, yet very professional. The center and facilities were VERY clean and comfortable. All the patients there spoke well of center and were pleased. Nice relaxing atmosphere."
