Reviews
"Patient beware! I wish I had read other reviews and prior to using Emory Physical Therapy. My experience is that Emory using deceitful and unethical billing practices. Emory verified that I had not satisfied my insurance deductible and quoted me a price of $125 per visit until my deductible was satisfied. This was confirmed over the phone and in person on my only two visits. However, I ended up being billed over $350 for my first visit and over $250 my second visit. When I called to dispute the charges I was first told the $125 was just an estimate (I find being billed nearly double and triple the quoted amount far from an estimate). Then I called to dispute a second time and was told this was just a “pre-payment” and that I signed a form stating I would pay any balances. I then asked what the cost would have been without insurance and was told the amount would be $150 per visit. When I asked to pay the $150 amount as if I did not have insurance I was denied and was told they would not honor the $150 since they knew I had insurance. Unless you have a specific co-pay amount, I would stay away unless you are ready for some very extreme and shocking bills!"
"Not good experience. They do not give you any specifics about charges. I was told a session will cost approx. $120, when I received the bill, they had charged more than $200. They never explained that they will charge by the time. The PT would ask me to do an exercise 20 times, or 40 times and work with other patients--never saying that more time will mean more $$s. Also, I did not ask for a massage, the PT never asked me whether I wanted one and he charged me $60 for a less than 5 min massage. Total rip-off. Be warned, there is no way you can dispute their bill."
"I really don’t even want to give it one star. Worst experience I have ever had at any medical facility. Pamela G. was apathetic, discouraging, and very unprofessional. Her negativity radiated throughout the session and she even insulted orthopedic surgeons. She hardly spent any time with me during exercises. Please do not waste your time. I left feeling very discouraged."
"I came here to address my lower back pain after doctor recommendation, and I left after a few months of work with the techniques to manage my pain. I often looked forward to the sessions. Thanks, Pamela."
