"The MACC is just the best! The commitment of volunteers is extraordinary, and shows/events reflect such passion and commitment. Thank You for all MACC does for the community."
"It was a super cool! We went to the corn hole tournament and had a blast! They had so much to offer!"
"We love this place, but it’s not without issues. The building has tons of character, and I love that they have a collective of instructors that offer lessons and classes here. That said, most of the instructors are musicians/artists, so they are hard to organize and will sometimes cancel a class and not communicate well. There’s nothing the administration of MACC can do about it the way they have things structured currently. All of the instructors are independent contractors, basically, who rent space at MACC and are in charge of setting their own rates and collecting payment from students on their own. So when I had an instance where I had paid for a summer camp, then the instructor canceled the camp, I was on my own to try to collect a refund, which was pretty difficult and took way too long. Make sure that you pay instructors as sellers (not as friends/family) when you use Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, etc. so that you will have a way to dispute a transaction if this happens to you. The instructor that I had this issue with is still hosting photography “clubs” for tweens and teens at MACC, even though administration is aware that she canceled multiple summer camps and aware of how much trouble it was for me (and presumably others?) to get refunded. Our experiences with lessons and camps in percussion, exercise, computers (Minecraft,) and comics have been fantastic, though!"
"This place is a real gem! Loads of classes, activities, performances, and even a local crafters' market. If you've never checked the MACC out, you really should go whenever you get a chance."
"The MACC building was the elementary school on the mountain for decades. Now, it continues to serve the children (and adults) here as they learn to dance, play an instrument, etc. This unique 1920's mountain school remains a favorite of us all!"
