"Receptionist called to confirm my daughter’s 5 pm appointment at 3:25 p.m. I confirmed and said we’d be there. I hired a babysitter for my other children and made the ten mile drive across town. Two minutes before we pulled in at 4:45 p.m., I received a phone call that our appointment was cancelled due to emergency. By the time we got there in a few minutes, everything was closed, dark, and locked down. I understand that emergencies sometimes happen and understand the counselor having to leave unexpectedly, but it was highly unprofessional to not even have a receptionist wait for us to arrive to at least do intake and reschedule."
