"I have seen Dr. Carlin for several years. She is an ethical, insightful, experienced therapist who is compassionate and so easy to talk to. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to adults seeking individual or couples counseling."
"I have been seeing Dr. Carlin for almost eight years now. As her client I truly can’t rave about her enough! She is an astounding therapist, and one that is not only professional (and highly qualified) but she is also very compassionate. She creates a safe space that allows you to open up and discuss things at your own pace and comfort level. As I’ve seen her for going on a decade now she hasn’t only been understanding and flexible with my schedule (I work full time and I am a mom) but she has always been accommodating to my frequency of visits as well. She is always supportive of whatever frequency I choose to schedule myself for. In my opinion, for me to see just one therapist for almost a decade is an indication that she continues to grow with you as your therapist, while you heal from whatever it is that you are reaching out to her for. I have recommended her to several of my closest family and friends! If you are struggling with anything, please don’t hesitate to make an appointment with her!"
"I booked Susan Carlin for a martial counseling session and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. We never even got to the session because she was supposed to send us the zoom link for the appointment the day before and never did. On our initial phone call with her we provided her with our email addresses and she advised that she wasn't sure how to do an underscore symbol which is part of my email address. I told her how to do it and she said she thinks that she got it. So, she called me the day of our appointment and blamed me for not calling her for the link. At the same time she said that she didn't know how to place the underscore in my email address and that my husbands email returned to her as unsent. She then asks if we can do the session in that moment. At this point my husband was driving and she decided that she didn't want to do the session while he was driving which I understand. I asked her what options we had since there was a mishap on her part. She said that we needed to pay $175 for the session because she had blocked time out of her schedule and then immediately said "no, I think y'all just need to find someone else to work with and your husband sounds like he's not on board with counseling anyway!" The level of disrespect and unprofessionalism was UNREAL! ESPECIALLY because this was her error, not ours. All she had to do was make a simple phone call to me if she was having issues emailing the link. After all this is her business! If I could have rated her less than 1 star I would have. I have NEVER experienced a counselor so rude."
