Touch of Healing Counseling & Mental Health

"I will admit I was a bit nervous to get mental health counseling for the first time. I did not know what to expect at all. I looked at other reviews and didn’t see anything that helped me, so Ill write up my experience. As soon as you walk into the Touch of Healing lobby, it is modern and well decorated with Christian music station playing over the loud speaker. The reception staff made me felt welcomed and comfortable. There are sofa style comfy chairs in the lobby that are all brand new. Then you wait there in the lobby until your therapist calls you back to your therapy room (much like a typical Dr. office). All of the hallways and therapy session rooms seem to have been recently remodeled so they look brand new and great. The one session room that I was in (with Sandra Rawlings) was the perfect size room with 1 couch and 1 sofa style chair for the therapist. The session itself was nice. She was extremely understanding and insightful. The session was just a bit short. The bathrooms were also nice; clean with new flooring. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the professionalism of Touch of Healing and to be honest It was much nicer than I anticipated. I will certainly be returning and I will be recommending this place to those struggling with anexiety or depression who just need someone to talk to like I did."

"I've been going here for quite some time it will be a year in July. Boy I've been through some life changing things that I know I couldn't of gotten through it on my own. Sandra my therapist is the best she listens and understands my different emotions that I may be feeling at that time. Some days it's good and some days it's bad but that's life but to have some I can rely on and helps through what I'm dealing with I'm grateful!"

"This review is based on the office manager Beverly which she kept repeating herself over and over again as the office manager. The purpose of the call was to confirm an appoint that should have been virtual which has been virtual for the past three weeks. She wants to be on the phone going back and forth about her title instead of admitting they dropped the ball again. I too am an office manager and you Beverly are very unprofessional no one cares about your title, your concern should be the patient. How are you going to working in a counseling facility and be rude, you don't know what type a day a person is having and its your job not to add to it."

"Extremely disappointed!! I called to make a therapy appointment and the front desk lady was so rude and inappropriate! She asked me personal questions about why I needed to be seen that shouldn’t have to be disclosed. She did not listen even though I said the same thing several times."

"I felt like I was a counselor to the counselor, and learned things about them I don't understand why. She was not engaging, unprofessional, and lacked empathy. I left feeling like it was not worth 30 mins, but I paid for an hour. It was not Christian based. We never prayed or was God word brought into our session. Very discouraging. I've lost my parents and just needed some processing and healing. Don't waste your time, money, or emotions!"
