"El Cocinero has a fantastic vibe! The outdoor seating is wonderful on a nice day. The service was very friendly. The tacos are pricey, but very delicious. I got the Carnitas corn taco and a buffalo cauliflower corn taco. Both were highly recommended to me and they did not disappoint! The salsa, guacamole, and queso fundido were all amazing. The salsa was very refreshing. The queso was thick and creamy."
"I want to start off saying I usually have a great experience here but this was one of the worst dining experiences I ever had. I walked in at 9:10, the food and service was absolutely terrible. They threw a bowl of chips with literally 10 chips, gave me appetizer with no plates. Ordered fajita quesadilla, they gave me shredded chicken when asked regarding they re-made soggy fajitas with un-cooked vegetables. While we are eating, dropped bill, and to go boxes. Literally got nauseous and disgusted. While we were talking to waitress she just walked away without even listening to our concern. Food isn’t free, there’s no need to be treated this way."
"Finally made it here! I love Mexican food and this town has a glut of places though, sadly, some of the best went out (RIP La Fiesta). So when I can try one that is solid and surprising I am happy. We met some friends here at 6 on a Saturday and it was packed! Not sure what kind of clientele I expected but it was a variety of people. I admittedly shied away from coming because of the lack of parking but we'd gone to Brass Tap at 5 and found a space right away. We sat at the bar while we waited on a table and while people told me they didn't have beer, that's not entirely true. They don't have draft beer. I ordered a bottle of Presidente, which pairs well with the food and is priced right at 4 dollars. We didn't have to wait as long as the host had guestimated (maybe 15 mins) and were seated and helped immediately. The guacamole is definitely worth it, coming with fried plantain chips as well. We each ordered something different and it would seem all were pleased with their food. I personally had a shrimp taco and the carnitas, which was my favorite. Packed full of meat, pickled red onions and spicy jalapenos. Really tasty! The meal was solid and the prices aren't bad either. It's a bit small inside and I can see people probably go to sit outside but it was a bit too cold for that. I do think having maybe dos Equis and dos Equis amber on tap would go a LONG way in getting me back in. I'm always surprised when restaurants don't have a couple taps. Even I have a couple taps at my house; it's not that hard. Overall though, I really did enjoy my dinner and experience!"
