"WORST DR IVE EVER SEEN!! You are at your most vulnerable when at the Gynecologist office and you expect to have some compassion and understanding from your doctor. I was 17/18 years old and Dr. Manthia was my first Gynecologist. I was referred to her by my PCP to be tested for PCOS and she refused stating she “would when I lose weight” and that “if I lose weight it will go away”. The next time I went, I had not lost any weight and she raised her voice at me and said “you’re not helping anyone by not losing weight”. The next time I saw her I was in a major depression and I had lost 20th s and she was so happy and read me her notes she had wrote in my file. She said I was “refusing to lose weight” even though a major symptom of PCOS is that it’s extremely hard to lose weight. The next time I saw her I had gained all the weight back and she told me to not eat. She told me “whenever you get hungry don’t eat, just drink some water and if you’re still hungry, eat an apple or some fruit” I cried after ever single visit to her, not understanding why she cared so much about my weight and not my health or treating me for what I actually came in. DO NOT GO HERE!! EXTREMELY FATPHOBIC!!"
