"DO NOT RECOMMEND! Calidad sent my application over to Assurance Insurance without all of the relevant info. I was quoted $600 down and $249 /mo. thinking this was the quote after they’ve reviewed my driving record. I signed all documents. Made the $600 down payment. And when the first auto draft payment was drafted from my account, they took over $150 more than the $249 that they were supposed to. Assurance found a car accident that I was at fault for AFTER I docusigned for my policy. I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED by Assurance or Calidad about this increase in premium and monthly payment. I was NOT NOTIFIED via phone call, mail or even a text message. Long story short, my new monthly is $321 (that I never agreed to). They said they would return the $454 they took from my account and cancel my policy, but would not refund me the $600 that I put down so that I could seek more affordable insurance. So, unfortunately, I have to stay with the policy I have bc it’s “cheaper to keep her” Here’s the real kick: Assurance said they notified me via mail about the increase in premium and I never received a letter . But even after the $454 was taken out of my account, I received a letter of coverage termination for non payment …… How am I able to receive a letter of (wrongful) termination but I wasn’t able to receive a letter about the increase of cost?? I sent an email to Calidad on a Saturday. Monday at 4pm I still have no word back from them confirming my coverage since my policy was paid for. The absolute worst insurance transaction ever. And will be reporting them to the BBB as I feel completely robbed. How are you charging me a monthly cost that I never agreed to or was even notified about until after you already took the money?! UPDATE 10/23: Although financially inconvenienced in the beginning, Calidad was able to honor the rates that I initially signed for. And I very much appreciate that."
