"Honestly, this is a great school but the communication is horrible. Connections Academy kicked my son out of school because of the MTSS program, however he was doing his very best to keep up with his assignments. I'm not going to get on here to make it seem as if my son is a saint, but this really hurt him because he was finally bringing his grades back up. My son has an IEP and yet they still didn't give him the proper resources he needed. How could you do this to a 12 year old without any remorse this is absolutely wrong on so many levels. The MTSS director never returned any of my calls let alone emailed me back about the zoom links not working or the program not working. It's sad that children are being withdrawn from this school. My son was sick when he he received his violations but yet they still kicked him out. This is not fair to anyone, please do better Connections Academy with responding back to parents concerns."
"As a student at GACA, for 3 years now, at first it was great. Now however, the amount of work especially in honors or accelerated classes is exhausting, overwhelming and completely unnecessary. Definitely more difficult than just going to an in-person public school. There are not many opportunities to socialize outside of a school setting and the idea I get from this school is essentially to "fend for yourself"."
"I have been going to this school for 8 years. I am 18 now. At first, the school was great. loved my teachers. I did great. Made a's and b's. Then over the years, it got worse. My new teachers are not as active as my old teachers. They don't answer right away when I call. I am a senior but it seems like I am not on the trajectory of graduating. I am not talking badly about the school. I just wish that they understood my needs. I want to finish school- with them but I might have to transfer. If your kids have IEPS (which I do) this school is not the school for them. If your kid is a fast learner and likes to do things on time this school might work for them."
"Even though my child only stayed for term. I had a great experience with Georgia Connections Academy. Our family were going through a lot of changes and this school has help my son transition into their curriculum easily which I appreciated. My son gained so many useful skills which had helped him excel as a student. I would highly recommend this school to any one wishing to school online. The staff is very responsive and works well with students and parents. My son just missed being faced to face other than that he said he will be willing to come back if things don't work out at his new school. Keep doing a great job. Kids need you all!"
"DO NOT start your child in this school. They are highly unprofessional. No school, besides college, kicks you OUT for failing!! If you fail, they just make you repeat the grade the next year.. they don't kick you out!! Then don't call, email or anything for days after they kick you out. They also lock parents accounts up if a child is failing.. how is the parent suppose to send the completed work from the child in if they can't access their own account???? Trust me when I say DON'T USE THIS ONLINE SCHOOL!!! Use K-12, they don't kick you out for failing!!!!"
