"For a Children's clinic, the staff should be re-evaluated. Sherine at the front desk (bad wig, glasses, talks with her hands), is 100% racist. Extremely dismissive for scheduling a pediatric surgery, yet very engaging with others.... The staff in general didn't care to work, from the front desk to the nurses, to the doctor. There's a trend. Unfortunately, children get a nasty taste of ugly people at this location, Sherine is a deplorable human being, and should be fired."
"Cannot express how disappointed I am. My brother was in such a bad condition, his breathing was rapid and his fingernails were turning blue, yet they failed to prioritize to handle the dangerous symptoms. It took 15 minutes for a nurse to call him to the room after several requests to the front and they kicked him out after he threw up telling my mom, “we have other patients.” In the room they noted that his heart rate was at 145 bpm, which they clearly stated was high. They did not leave him in the room to keep an eye on his breathing or pulse, just kicked him out. I understand that they here are other children here waiting for care but my brother was showing dangerous symptoms but the only thing they were worried about was the “line.” If my brother had gotten a seizure or went unconscious from his high fever would they still tell us “you are welcome to leave, we have a line?” I am so disappointed, shame on you all. As someone who is current student in medicine, I know for a fact healthcare workers are not supposed to dismiss dangerous signs/symptoms. I asked the front if there was any way he could get a popsicle to soothe dehydration in a way where he couldn’t possibly throw up but she responded with a “if he gets it, more kids are going to want it.” Could this also be the same if I were to ask for quality pediatrics care? This is unbelievable. I do not know if this is just this location or if this is every CHOA, but it is so sad to see where healthcare is proceeding to. It’s not like this is free, we are paying money so I expect quality care and a small piece of respect to care for sick children. Shame on you all, CHOA, there are sick kids waiting for quality healthcare and this is how you respond. Shame on you all."
"Triage LPN (white old skinny female) Is rude and hostile. Just bitter and nasty, like she don’t want to work. Doesn’t listen to your problems and was being really hostile toward my child. I don’t know why people like this one is in medical field. She even talked behind my back to other co worker. She talks over you told us that they don’t do any of the tests we were asking. When I saw the DR, she ordered everything we needed. She’s not even RN, everything she did and told us is basic information and half of the stuff she said was wrong. I work in the medical field and she needs to get educated correctly. She should not be in medical field and hope her family gets treated like we did so maybe if she has a brain she will have some empathy toward sick people. I don’t recommend this place, if you want to get treated with respect, go to the other location."
"We had a great experience here, despite reading some negative reviews. It was so much better than going to an emergency room with a toddler (I imagine). Registration was painless, the nurses did what they had to do to triage us and the doctor listened to our issue without judgement. We were so happy to not have to go to the hospital this time but would have felt confident in their advice if they would have sent us. They were all very professional and helpful! Thank you!"
