"I can't even begin to say how Amazing Dr. VanMeter and his staff are! He truly cares and connects with your child and educates them on the level that they understand! We are so blessed we found this practice!"
"I have been seeing Van Meter for many years. I used to go there twice a year, but have been the only one responsible for my doctor appointments and transportation so it was impossible for me to make it to any appointments this past year as I just recently got my driver's license. While I do understand that they had to give me prescriptions without me having an appointment, I did not know they no longer took my insurance. Though I know this is out of their control, the staff was extremely unkind to me and expressed no sympathy at all. I am a newly turned 18 year old that is working two jobs, and just recently paid my bills so I did not have the money to pay the bill up front. They would not allow billing and did not tell me why, but I assume it was because I hadn't been there since last year. I asked them if they could give me recommendations for places that do take my insurance and if they could give me one more prescription for while I found another doctor, but they said no. Not only did they say no, they said my whole situation across the room instead of waiting to tell me when I got up to the desk. And about those recommendations for places that took my insurance, well, she just gave me completely incorrect information. I understand that there was nothing that she could do in this situation, I just felt like she could have went about this situation in a much kinder way. Instead she just told me I could pay up front(with money I didn't have) or go somewhere else. I guess I am happy to no longer be associated with people that just clearly do not care. Here is to me finding another doctor that will give me the medication I need to live a normal, everyday life! Yes, let’s recap! 2022 was not two years ago, I’m sorry your math teacher failed you. I’m not sure what you meant by letting another healthcare provider access my records that exact day, as I did not find a doctor that could give me my medication until days after this appointment. Also, the diabetes center across the hall did not take my insurance. When they told me I would have to make an appointment, which I was ready to do, they informed me they did not take Caresource. I can tell that you really do care! I wish you the best as well!!"
"Do not see Dr. Van Meter. He didn't ask permission to examine/touch my child. He used terminology like fat and skinny and this terminology is in his take home paperwork. He didn't address my child and talked over them. His advice to my child was hurtful and upsetting. We're disappointed at how inappropriate he was and we're hopeful this review will help the physician group implement more positive and inclusive practices."
"Great experience with Dr Van Meter! He’s the best doctor we’ve seen for our daughter in her 5 short years of life (with lots of appointments). My husband and I both wish he could be her primary care doctor because he’s smart, observant, experienced, and very kind… all the things you want in a doctor."
"My grandson’s physical appearance was literally changing every day before our eyes and so was our concern for his health. In search of where to take him for an evaluation we found Van Meter Pediatric Endocrinologist and am relieved and happy that we did. Dr. Van Meter is an excellent doctor, he is caring, firm and has such a warm presence about him; my grandson related to him immediately. Knowledge is power, he explained his diagnosis in terms we could understand and ensured us we were on the road to recovery if we followed his plan. A practice is as good as its staff, all were friendly, helpful and professional. Thank you Dr. Van Meter and staff!!"
