"Wanted to take a moment and share our incredible experience with MAOD (Montessori Academy of Decatur). We sent our then 4 year old son there this year and were immediately welcomed into this wonderful community. From administration to the classroom teachers, each person involved with out child's education and growth was amazing. They fostered kindness, respect, personal accountability, and growth in our son and did so in a safe, caring environment. Facilities were clean and well taken care of and secure. Classrooms were filled with tons of educational opportunities for the kids to discover and lessons were shared as much as they were taught. Outdoor play was a big part of our son's day and he loved the enclosed playground. Our son made some amazing friends while at MAOD which speaks volumes about the type of children that attend the school. We saw subtle positive behavioral changes almost immediately after starting the program and were very pleased with the good habits our son picked up during the day - things like independence, cleaning up after himself, and mindfulness. We were very pleased with MAOD and couldn't recommend this school more highly. Great place to start your child's educational journey."

"My son went here from 3 mths of age to 1 and half. The teachers we had were great for the most part and look after kids well. My only complaint is that management communicates and resolved issues slowly and poorly. There was and is a lack of communication regarding sick or injured children at the daycare, and staff changes in the classroom. We no longer attend as of May 2023 as we moved. I tried to communicate issues with the 4 different directors that were there during our 1 year tenure and the owner, who has never responded to an email. I also still have not received my refund of deposit even though I have offered to drive directly to the school. We have been waiting on a refund for 8 months and we’re originally told it would be up to 3. If management reads this please reach out to me regarding our refund, please provide a reissued check number and let me know if I can provide a fedex label for mailing."
