"Dr. Schaefer is an outstanding physician who has helped me immensely. The nurses and office staff are caring and responsive. Highly recommend this practice."
"I was a new patient I arrived early completed necessary paperwork waited to be seen….several patients came and went. I’m still sitting after asking what time I would be seen twice…. It’s obvious they don’t have a clue…. I said I’d reschedule and was told I’d have to pay 100.00 I don’t think so. I will never go back to this office. The unprofessional and disrespectful regard for a new patient is what IWONT tolerate. You all need to get it together!"
"I am a 35 year old combat veteran and Defense Distinguished Service medal holder who has served in the Afghanistan and Iraq'i conflicts from 2009-2019 (10 years). Upon my return from deploying, I started having neurological symptoms that were so severe that I could barely walk, we thought that I has ALS. I have been seen by this office for over 4 years now and I believe this review will stand as a solid ground for someone who knows nothing about this office, that is looking to be seen here. I currently see Dr. Harry Hughes, originally Dr. Ben Bashinski. Both doctors I’ve seen are unbelievably knowledgable, addressed my ideas and explained the WHY, and HOW to me. All of the Neurologist here are top in their field for a reason and why I made the decision to come to the office despite some of the absolutely irrelevant reviews that have been left. In 2019 I was diagnosed with a VERY rare disorder that no other office was able to pin point, not even the VA, but Neurological Associates of Augusta did! If it were not for this entire office, I would not be treatable, I would have probably gone the rest of my days in a wheel chair and more than likely given up, and taken my own life. This office, and I mean the entire office... has saved my life. I 100% recommend coming to this office, they will respect you, they will listen to your concerns and they will treat you with respect as a patient but most importantly as a human being. They treat veterans with care and listen to your concerns! I cannot give more stars, but if I could I most definitely would because of what they have done for me. These bad reviews are people who are impatient and do not understand how business is ran. Come see this office and let them help you. I do not regret the decision and I am forever grateful for their service to me."
"I've always had a good experience with the front office. The nurse that takes you back is super friendly. I really feel like my doctor/PA (Dr. Hughes, Lacey Prescott) care and want to find out what's going on. Lisa who schedules the tests is always super kind."
"The worst experience I have ever had. I had been calling them for months to get a referral from my dr for an MRI. They would never call me back. I have spoken to a few people including Dr. Hughes' nurse Michelle. She didn't call me back in over a month. They said to give at least 4 wks but no response. She finally called back only because I reached out to my PCP. But instead giving me the referral for the MRI, they said I had to come back into their office and they charged me $60. It wasn't my fault Michelle was not efficient. She was so unprofessional and rude. While I was waiting for the dr, she walks in asking me what is the name and address of pharmacy and then asked how many kids I had. This is my 2nd time there. I'm looking at her like what does that have to do with the price of tea in China. I just obliged trying to wait for the dr. They scheduled me for 11:45a, but it was obvious I would be waiting til 1p. So about 12:30p, I decided to leave and got my money back because had she done what she was supposed to do the first time, I wouldn't have had to go back and pay a fee that could have gone to the referral MRI appt. Dr. Hughes should really look into getting a more professional nurse. The front desk asked if I wanted to reschedule, I said "no, I just want to leave and get my money back". I was totally disappointed and disgusted."
