She realized that I must be Type I, and asked whether I had ever had the test to tell which I am. I didn't even know the test existed, and my previous endocrinologist had never mentioned that there was one. It turns out that I have Latent autoimmune diabetes of adults (LADA), caused by an autoimmune response that killed off the insulin-producing cells in my body. The treatment is completely different from Type II!. Now I have continuous glucose monitor and an insulin pump, and my blood sugar is finally under control. Thanks Brooke!"

If you value having a good endo which includes a functioning office staff… run far and fast away from this office. Worst experience I’ve had."

"I had a appointment here to see Dr.David Reyes Umpierrez back in April.He is the Endocrinologist Doctor here.I don’t have diabetes but I was having adrenal and thyroid issues.The front desk is very unprofessional and the front desk manager was even more unprofessional.This was my first and only appointment.Dr.Umpierrez was also unprofessional and his bedside manner was terrible.He was rude and acted like he didn’t want to be there.He didn’t order tests or check my vitals.I left knowing I would never be back.They even tried to get me to make another appointment.No way."

"Find a different endocrinologist!! After being a patient for over 6 years, I am embarrassed to be associated with this company. Many of the patients here can’t survive without insulin, and yet they will extort a patient to come in for an appointment before giving them a new prescription for insulin. Even after making an appointment, they will only give you a 10 day supply, which in my case has added up to over $120 additional payments because they won’t give me a 30 day supply. Again, this is after being a patient with them for over 6 years. Everything will be fine until you accidentally forget to make your annual appointment, and then they will let you suffer. It’s pretty clear to me these days that making money has far exceeded care for the patient. Read the reviews, I’m not the only one."
