"It has been one year since my FUE procedure with Dr. Lee at the Anderson Center for Hair and I am underwhelmed as well as disappointed with the quality of care I received and the outcome of my procedure. My surgery with Dr. Lee and his team was categorized as a "medium" procedure, which involved approximately 1500 grafts and cost $10,000 (with a military discount). I regret paying this much for a hair transplant that resulted in poor density, bad graft placement, and hardly any improvement to my receding hairline. Scattered bald spots and a lack of density in the transplant area has created a noticeable contrast between it and my natural hairline. The most problematic aspect is a large bald spot in the center of what should be my hairline, which has been difficult to manage. My experience with Anderson Center for Hair began with the first of two consultations with Doctor Lee and his team. The first consultation was primarily to get me started on finasteride and oral minoxidil and to get acquainted with Dr. Lee. I then waited a year between consultations to gauge the effectiveness of the medication, which seemed to help my hair loss. After the second consultation I decided to move forward with my procedure in February 2023. However, after I paid my balance there was a significant shift in the level of communication from the clinic staff. Prior to payment, they were quite persistent with scheduling the surgery, but after settling my balance, the communication dropped off. In the days following my payment and leading up to the surgery, I received only one preliminary call and an email containing outdated instructions. On the day of my surgery, I encountered an apathetic staff, which did little to help my pre-surgery anxiety. The most disheartening moment was when Dr. Lee spent a mere 10 seconds drawing my new hair line across my forehead. It felt rushed and lacked the attention to detail I hoped for. Due to the medications, I was incapacitated for almost the entire procedure. Towards the end of the surgery, I slowly regained consciousness, only to find two technicians placing my grafts without Dr. Lee in the room. The overall experience left me feeling trivial and uncertain about the quality of the work that was done on my hair. In the week following my procedure I reached out to Dr. Lee on multiple occasions in regards to the post surgery instructions I was given and to voice a few concerns. He shockingling admitted that he had never read the post surgery instructions and brushed off my concerns by saying everything would be “fine”. In the aftermath of my surgery, I put my life on hold for a majority of the last year, waiting to heal and get back to a sense of normalcy. However, the disappointment set in around the 6-month mark when it became apparent that the results of the surgery were not turning out as I had hoped. The last half of the year following my surgery has been challenging, watching the lack of growth, coming to terms, and trying to figure out what to do next. Friends and family that have been tracking my progress also share my disappointment and empathize with how much time and money I’ve invested in the procedure with such little results. February 8th, 2024 marks an official year since my surgery with Dr. Lee and neither he nor his staff have attempted to reach out and follow up with my progress, aside from a clerical call I received from his staff one week after the procedure. I thought I was diligent in researching Anderson Center for Hair, given its numerous five-star Google reviews and endorsement from both the AHLA and Spencer Kobren. However, the clinic has a different reputation among other communities where many consider the clinic overpriced and delivers underwhelming results, while sharing experiences similar to mine. I urge prospective patients to look past their reputation on social media and do their own research. Taking all of this into account, I cannot recommend Anderson Center for Hair for hair transplants, and will be seeking alternative options for my needed second procedure."

"I wanted to do the hair transplant surgery for quite some time, however after looking at the post surgery photos on line I thought "OUCH" and backed off. I found Anderson Center for hair on line and the reviews were a perfect 5 star.I decided to do the free consultation with Dr. Lee and his staff, and after meeting with him I knew he was the doctor to do my hair replacement surgery.The experience was amazing and now I understand why he has such great reviews. Pre surgery they answered all my questions and communication was spot on.I was very nervous the morning of surgery, but the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. When Dr. Lee heard I was nervous he came in just to chat for a few minutes. The procedure was over in what felt like an hour and I was ready to go home for dinner. The procedure was comfortable and best of all absolutely painless.I woke up the next morning expecting to be in pain, however I felt no pain and very minor discomfort. DR Lee did such a great job on the sutures, my wife had trouble finding them to put on the ointment.I am at day 8 and so far it has been a great experience, I got a few calls from the staff just checking up on me.The facility is very clean and nice and everyone there is great, especially the 2 nurses that assisted with my procedure. I am very excited about my new hair, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Lee and the Anderson Center for hair for anyone considering hair replacement Surgery."

"As a family practice physician in the Atlanta area for over 35 years I have intimate knowledge of the surgical skills and success rates from numerous physicians. After years of helping patients maintain and assist them in their battle of hair loss i realized my efforts were not enough. It seemed that one particular facility and surgeon and in Atlanta provided the best and most natural results. Therefore it was an easy choice to choose the physician I desired to perform my hair transplant. I still did my due diligence and spoke with other clinics and physicians before seeing Dr Daniel Lee at the Anderson Hair Restoration Clinic in Atlanta. I was familiar with Dr. Lee's previous work as a skilled general surgeon in the Atlanta area and requested a consult with him. My consultation was very thorough and broadened my horizon on non surgical methods. I was even given 2 prescriptions that would be themselves be helpful on my journey. I was not pressured on any sprays, laser caps or upselling of any products. I had an extensive exam and review of my medical history to assess if I was a good candidate for FUT (follicular unit transfer). I did decide to use Dr. Daniel Lee after meeting him and the rest of his surgical team. I toured the surgical suite and noticed how immaculately clean and organized the suite was. After my surgery I have only taken 2 Aleve for discomfort even though adequate pain medication had been prescribed and sent to my local pharmacy. I know there are many other hair restoration clinics and even some associated with non Medical Doctor offices and transplant specialists that travel to different clinics to perform surgery. It is important to know that Dr. Daniel Lee's office is basically in his surgical suite so its like having a home field advantage knowing where everything needed is located. I felt more comfort knowing this was his personal operating suite and no one else uses or shares his suite. I only wish I had done this many years ago but now realize it is never too late. Dr Lee garners my highest praise. Thank you to your wonderful staff that helped before, during, and after surgery."

"I had my initial hair transplant procedure in late 1999. It lasted pretty well, for perhaps 15 years, but has thinned out with time. I decided I wanted to do another transplant, so I researched who had the best reputation in the Atlanta area. My previous surgeon, who I thought highly of, has retired. I found lots of positive feedback about the Anderson practice. On my initial visit I met with Dr. Lee, who came across very professionally. Although Dr. Anderson was the founder, I had a good interaction with his associate, Dr. Lee, and felt comfortable with him. I’m now early in my post-op experience and I am very pleased. I have had almost no discomfort, haven’t taken any pain mediation other than the Aleve they recommend, and I have slept well. My patient counselor, Matt Longshore, was easily available and was very helpful in working the procedure into my schedule. He was very good at answering questions. My pre-op instructions were clear and logical. On my procedure day we started right on time, and there were no surprises or problems. The staff could not have been nicer. It will probably be 6 months to a year before I know my final result, but as for the early experience after surgery I could not be happier. If you’re considering a procedure I wish you good luck and I hope you do well."

"I’m very pleased with the FUE procedure that Dr. Lee performed at the Anderson Hair Clinic. I’d been considering a hair transplant for at least a year and I’ve done a decent amount of research on the process. Like any surgery, my biggest fear was picking the wrong surgeon and being worse off than I already was. I was worried I would end up with an unnatural look. The reason I finally decided to go through with the procedure was the conversation I had with both Nelson and Dr. Lee during the consultation. It was clear from these conversations that Dr. Lee had a ton of experience in the field and I felt like he earned my trust. During the consultation, we discussed my potential hairline and he explained why FUE fit my need since I liked to cut my hair very short. After this conversation, I decided I would do it and I couldn’t be happier with the results. First off, the surgery really wasn’t bad at all. I really just watched TV and napped through most of it and it turned out to be a decent day off from work. The next couple days I had swelling (whole face got pretty bloated) and in terms of pain it kind of felt like I had a bad sunburn on the back of the head. Overall, pain really wasn’t an issue and I didn’t take additional pain meds. Overall, I’m super pleased with the results so far and I’m really happy I went with Dr. Lee and his staff. It’s clear to me that they are experts in their field and I would recommend them to anyone considering a hair transplant."
