"Nothing negative to say about the staff at all, and very thankful for everyone making my first pregnancy a positive experience in that regard! The office as a whole, however, could work on their appointment timing. My 20-week anatomy scan was scheduled for 1:30 (which I put directly into my calendar while at the front desk and asked for the appointment card as well). At some point, the appointment was changed in the system to be 1:15 and I was never directly notified that the change was made (I would have never scheduled a 1:15 apt as I wouldn’t be able to make it in time from work ). I arrived for the appointment at 1:30 and was told I would have to reschedule due to being 15 minutes late (which turned my anatomy scan into a 22-week scan - quite nerve wracking to be asked to wait for that!). Every appointment since then I have made sure to arrive before the scheduled time, and I have sat in the waiting room for over 45 minutes past my appointment time (as I type this at 3:40 in the waiting room, with an appointment that was scheduled for 2:45). The policy that a patient can’t be seen if they show up 15 minutes late, but there’s no issue making them wait over 45 minutes to be seen when they show up on time, is inconsiderate of working families. I absolutely understand some ultrasounds take longer than planned, and especially if it took Dr. Amanze some time to read the scans and talk with patients, that would make sense to wait a little longer for! But the office could be mindful of that when offering their available times to ensure patients are seen in a timely manner. I would rather less appointment availability but know that at least my ultrasound would start on time."
"There were so many things I didn't like about this place! Let's start with the fact my first meeting with the doctor was a telemed visit where the sound was messed up. It was either she could hear me and I couldn't hear her or vice versa. She settled on me hearing her and her not hearing me, this lead to me shaking my head yes and no and putting small chats in the chat space. This was a short, brief, and non informative meeting. I had to ask if I would be getting an ultrasound at my first in person appointment and I was simply told yes. Now the day of the appointment was even worse. I was never told my 2 year old son could not come with us. So my husband had to sit out in the car with my son during the entire appointment. Someone should have told us this so we could have planned in advance. The MOST concerning part of this was that the front desk associates lock the door behind you once you enter. Nobody can come in or out without the front desk unlocking the door by a thumb turn lock. This made me feel very anxious in the waiting area. This feels like a HUGE fire hazard and I will be contacting the necessary authorities about the legality of locking people inside a building without a clear emergency exit. When I told them about my concerns the excuse was that people walk in who don't have appointments there. Um thats not a good enough reason to lock your patients inside your builiding. Also, while waiting, one person was temp checked at the door. However, me and another patient (with her husband) were NEVER checked.I also kept hearing a worker in the back with a very nasty mucus filled cough. I find it very interesting this is my 2nd IVF child and I'm being considered high risk and having to go to this speciality clinic. With my first IVF child 3 years ago in California I was never considered high risk. They told me simply because my child was an ivf baby I'm high risk, seems odd. Then when I went into the ultrasound, I had no idea what to expect. She starts measuring all kinds of things like neck thickness to check for down syndrome. I said wait I didn't get the NPT blood test because I didn't want to know that kind of information. She was surprised they didn't tell me everything they would be checking at this ultrasound. I told her no, I had to ask if I was even getting an ultrasound and was told nothing about what would be checked. The ultrasound technician was good at her job. That is the ONLY nice thing I have to say about this clinic. I inquired about placental previa since I had it last time. They told me they dont take it serious until the 20 week anatomy scan. Also weird because my doctor took it serious at 12 weeks with my last pregnancy and put me on pelvic rest.I asked about my SCH multiple times and was never given a response if it has resolved or the current status. I did not feel comfortable there! I felt anxious and hope to find a different place to go before my next appointment. I definitely would NOT recommend going to this place."
"Wont allow you to bring children or anyone under 18 inside. Gave no advance warning about this policy so my 2 year old and I are stuck in the vehicle rather than enjoying what should be an amazing family expedience. My 1st son was born during the pandemic and there was never any issues like this. Also everyone is wearing mask like they will get covid from going to an ultrasound. These ppl need to get with the times.. or at least let patients know the correct policies before wasting peoples time...10000 % do not recommend this company and would go some where else."
"Dr. Amanze and her staff are always kind and knowledgeable. They’re ready to see you at your scheduled appointment time, so no need to wait around. Camille did my 20 week anatomy scan & she was THE BEST, so comforting and calm, she talked us through the whole process and made it a wonderful experience."
"Love the atmosphere. So relaxing and therapeutic. Everyone is pleasant and I love the one on one meets with the doctor after every ultrasound. During the ultrasound. The Tech talks to you about what she’s looking at, and she is very thorough with checking everything. I would definitely highly recommend this office to anyone needing a maternal fetal doctor."
