Reviews of Redding Allergy and Asthma Specialists
"I read the reviews after I made an appointment here for my teen. I came in the door with no preconceived ideas. In saying that, I could not be more satisfied with the care and attention provided. Dr. Alan Redding was attentive and delightfully pleasant. He asked great questions in order to fully assess my daughter's condition. He modified her prescriptions, which I thought was a great idea since the previous regiment (from a different doctor) did not control her asthma and allergies. I wholeheartedly recommend this facility and these doctors."
"1) This is one of the few allergy practices in Atl with good google AND yelp reviews! 2) Small practice with great patient care and super nice staff. They were kind and compassionate. 3) Easy to get an appointment and they are very responsive 4) Dr. Redding was patient and detailed. I am so happy I found this clinic as most practices are asking for more from patients and giving less. I wish I could give them 10 stars!"
"My experience with this clinic was terrible and I do not recommend. The front desk clerk helped set up an appointment for a consultation regarding an allergic reaction due to an injection. The expectations were to come in to discuss and plan testing on understanding what within the injection shot that I am having this adverse reaction to. When I came in for my consultation, I was quickly seated in a room with the doctor's assistant. Who asked me a series of questions regarding my condition. I disclosed all information. I stated that I am experiencing severe daily hives due to a shot administered in August. The assistant confirmed she has all the information she needs and headed out the room. Within 20 minutes of waiting, the doctor comes back in the room. He confidently hands me a sheet stating this is what you have and steps on how to self medicated. He stated that I am experiencing hives that spontaneously pop up and then leave on its own. Nothing to gauge into. Within this moment I proceeded to ask a barrage of questions. The doctor answers seemed passive and simple. When taking all this in, I then inserted that this is incorrect and not why this appointment was step up. I once more detailed when the Depo Provera shot was administered. The hives sprouted after the shot took full effect in my body and is in direct correlation to the shot. My former Gynecologist advised me to seek an Allergist due to this understanding. Which is why the appointment was scheduled. The doctor reluctantly then set up an appointment for testing. Citing that the medication to test my skin will have to come from their private pharmacy and it should just a couple of bucks. I set the appointment up but felt weary about it. Throughout our conversation the Doctor seemed not present. I had to rush to my other appointment, and could not ask additional questions regarding expectations and pricing. The private pharmacy was in touch with me the following day. Letting me know that the medication can be picked up prior or the day of your appointment and the cost will be $175.00. A credit card is needed on file and this is not covered by insurance. I was taken back but reluctantly gave a card to place on file. After that, I called into the clinic to inquire about the appointment and its pricing. The front desk clerk, stated that the appointment would be about $500.00 for testing. Total cost of the testing be around $700. Even though it is only a "couple of bucks". After thinking on it, I honestly felt I was being taken advantage of, was not heard truly and would like to consult another clinic. I cancelled the appointment more than three days in advance. All of this confirmed with the desk clerk. The clerk offered and I accepted that she would contact the pharmacy to cancel the medication for the appointment. This was not handled. My card was charged for the $175.00 prior to the now cancelled appointment's date. I called the pharmacy myself and spoke with a different pharmacist who stated no communication was received by the clinic. They charged my card due to the young lady who I originally spoke with wanted the medication to be ready in the clinic for my appointment at 8am, which fell outside of the pharmacy's business hours. As thoughtful as the action on the pharmacist's part was; I was upset. The reality of the situation is that my card was card outside of my authorization because I did not pick the medication. Due to the appointment being cancelled. Stemming from poor communication from the clinic to Pharmacy."
"I can’t say enough nice things about my experience yesterday with Dr. Redding. My son has been experiencing seasonal allergies. The parking deck, the front office, and the whole experience was EASY and quick. Loved his 2 nurses that entertained my son with toys and crayons when he was getting pricked. Thank you for your help. I like to go to well run doctor offices. This is a great one!"
"My son has been seeing Dr. David Redding for almost a year and it has been amazing. He has been well taken care of by the doctor and the nurses. Everyone is such a great listener and we never feel rushed. It feels like a family there. The staffs are also super nice, responsive and caring. Catherine is extremely helpful in getting the documents we need for his school done, within the hour most of the time before I even check back on my phone. Thank you!!!"
