"Worse ER ever. They leave you in waiting room and call you for your test one at a time and keep putting you in waiting room. You see a PA and not even a doctor. You pay out the rear to be seen and it’s a colossal waste of time and money because they don’t even treat you correctly. I have never felt less of a person as I did at Atrium Floyd ER. They were a much better hospital before Atrium took over. Now it’s about moving cattle through and not caring about the patient, who pays their huge salary."

"I can't believe how great the labor and delivery department is here. Every doctor, nurse and technician was wonderful. But two people in particular really changed our lives. Nurse Mussie Asmerom saved my little girls life. We had an emergency C section and my daughters lungs were not inflated. I watched this Nurse calmly turn this nightmare into triumph. He was in control and reassuring. This person is a real hero to our family and we will never forget it. Also the lactation consultant Laura Elliott, is so passionate about her work and beyond helpful. She spent so much time helping my wife produce milk. This was our second pregnancy and the first we had in Florida. We got very little support the first time and ended up just formula feeding. Laura spent multiple hours working with my wife and now she is producing milk. This hospital has really gone above and beyond and I highly recommend having your baby here."

"My dad was rushed to the ER and admitted to Floyd on Christmas Eve. He’s been at the hospital for a week and they are by far the nicest staff we have ever experienced! We are from Atlanta where there are also good hospitals but the nurses and doctors are very attentive and are some of the most caring people I have encountered throughout his post-surgery experience."

"My post was some how taken down. See photo. How ever I would like to add a few things since at the time of posting we had only been there 8 hours. I was with my minor child so keep that in mind. We had been there for a total of 23 1/2 hours. Nobody would hardly tell me anything or did anything to help calm our nerves. My child spilled something on the floor and told the nurse but no one ever came to clean it up. There were very few staff that were nice or even decent. I called and talked to a representative about everything going on and then the nurse came in the room being rude and told me he didn't tell me the transfer time just said this evening because he didn't want us to think they would be there right then. (20 hours in and release papers already signed) Which he then tells me the estimated time of arrival. Then said I can't make them get here whenever. When you are at the hospital with a child they should be more caring. I mean it's more comforting to have them come in every so often and tell you they still haven't heard anything than just pretend like you are not there. I have emailed the hospital about all my concerns and never got anything back."

"Our experience as visiting family members was a very pleasant experience. As our experience started in the emergency room, we were very pleased with the staff, the manners and promptness of the nurses. They were very accommodating and considerate of us and the patient. The family was very clean also. As we moved out onto a floor, the same level of care and accommodation was seen there as well. Hats off to the nurses and staff of Floyd Medical and making our experience as comfortable as one could ask for."
