Red Woof Canine Training Center and Boarding

"It goes without saying that I love my dogs—and if you’re reading the reviews for Red Woof, that means you must love your dogs, too. The quick and dirty is that yes, Red Woof will treat your dogs like their own. Yes, they have a strict cleaning schedule and go above and beyond to keep your dog safe. Yes, your dogs will have a blast and won’t even miss you. There is no place I trust more. The long version is that Red Woof is more than a doggie daycare, more than a boarding facility, and more than a training center. I’ll explain: I have four dogs—all rescues and all with varying degrees of anxiety. One of my dogs absolutely cannot be around new dogs, which has made boarding challenging in the past. Until I found Red Woof. I know that my Duncan will stay safe and happy, with tons of time to play outside in one of their many individual “potty pens” (a small turf field). They love on him and he has a blast… and I don’t worry for a single second. I also run a foster-based rescue and Red Woof has been our saving grace. I can’t say that enough—Red Woof is our saving grace. They never say no when a dog needs help; no matter how full they might be, they make it work. Over the past year, they’ve housed more than 40 fosters at their facility. 40!! Every single one gets to play, train, and receive endless TLC. They donate their time, manpower, and kennels ($$$) for as long as it takes. I think that speaks volumes about their limitless love of dogs and, more importantly, their character. If you’re considering a training class or stay-and-train, I can vouch for them here, too. I have sent several of my “more challenging” fosters to Shannon and she worked her magic on every single one. It’s truly incredible to watch her work. Your dog comes home to you a genius, and Shannon will spend as much time as you need to understand the new commands your dog has learned. Most importantly, the people behind Red Woof are kind and genuine. Seriously, they’re wonderful. They love your pup like it’s their own and give their all to make sure that it stays safe, healthy, and happy. Whatever you’re looking for, Red Woof is it."

"We love the way the staff at redwoof loves our babies! I’ve never worried once about my dogs when I’ve left them here. Our dogs have so much fun when they go for doggy daycare or boarding, and we love that we can add on a bath/nail trim! They come home played out and pampered. They’re also extremely affordable which is important to our family."

"My girl Scout spent 10 days of obedience training. I just had my knee replaced and she was on the wild side- totally my fault because I hurt too bad to walk her. She is a beagle/lab mix. I adopted her at 4 months old and sh is now 13 months old I highly recommend Red Woof Canine to train , board ,play date and get baths. Best experience we have had!"

"Incredibly disappointed with our first stay at this facility. I filled out all of the paperwork in advance with specifics for each dog. I even called to schedule a trial day and was told they don’t do trial days but I could pay for the day of daycare. Upon check in I reminded them that my older dog is food aggressive, and will try to eat the younger dogs food if unsupervised, so they might need to be separated for meals. and that my older dog does not like puppies in his face. He tends “ To be grumpy when puppies try to play in his face.” He is almost 9, this should not be a surprise. But I reminded them that both dogs love to play and are well socialized. Eight days later at pick up, I learned that both dogs had been red marked and deemed aggressive so were not included in playgroups and were left in solitary during their eight day stay. I was devastated. Neither of my dogs are aggressive towards other dogs. They thrive on play and interaction. That was the main reason I booked with red woof. They also reeked. I’m a registered nurse and can deal with strong smells, but both of my dogs had a stench that I had never smelled before. Two days later, my car still stinks of them. My younger dog has also been ravenous for his meals since our boarding, as if he didn’t eat for days. My younger dog hates eating, and most meals are a struggle so it’s very telling to me that he didn’t eat during his stay there. The staff members were apologetic, but didn’t really seem to care. I’m furious that I’m paying almost $400 for my dogs to be left in a concrete room for 8 days with little to no interaction. My dogs love to play with other dogs and are very well exercised. We are at the fetch park downtown at least 5 days a week. I’m not sure why, but it seems like my dogs were mistreated at the facility and they are still trying to recover. I do not recommend this facility for boarding and we will not be returning. Adding photos of my older dog chewing his tail raw since boarding with them and finding feces on the bottom of a food container that was left with them for 8 days. This is disgusting and impressively unsanitary."
