"Dr Akiel Patel delivered all 3 of our children. We originally met him while he was still in residency at W&C where he delivered our first two kids. Then we heard he joined his father's practice at Thomas memorial and my wife and I did not hesitate to follow him to this new hospital to deliver our third baby. My wife had a C section with all 3 kids and Dr Patel not only did an amazing job in all 3 surgeries but his bedside manner and the way he made everything so easy to understand for my wife and I was unmatched by any other doctor we have ever seen. He is knowledgeable about all parts of pregnancy but he's also very down to earth and a good people person. We could not be happier to have had him deliver all of our kids and would highly recommend him to any expecting mother."

"If you're looking for a surgeon, you've arrived. Dr. K. Patel is ready to cut! I met him during my first pregnancy; he was not my regular physician, but the on-call ob. I went to have a simple nonstress test. He didn't explain much of anything in a science based manner. In fact, he spoke around me. He falsified a great amount of information, used unnecessary interventions that catapulted my body into a crazy inbalance and then rushed me into a cesarean section I didn't need. His actions almost killed my child. I cannot say every person has the same experience, but this was mine. On the plus side, every other individual I came in contact with from the office was quite pleasant. They gave necessary, evidence based information and choose methods of least invasion. Dr. Beeson, Nurse Rogers (just to name a couple) were encouraging and helpful at every turn."
