Timberline Glamping at Lake Blackshear

"I was pleasantly surprised at how nice these glamping tents were set up. (I am by no stretch of the imagination a camping kind of girl.) This made it doable for me. My family of 6 plus our dog Zeke loved this experience! We stayed 5 nights after Christmas through New Years. It was unseasonably cold during our stay, but the heater in our room made such a huge difference. Our entire experience was great. Adam, our host even stopped in to check on us and make sure everything was up to par. A few words of advice: if you are staying longer than a couple days bring a broom, the porch area got super sandy from the dog/kids and it was nice to have. Also bring slippers and don’t allow shoes in the tent, this keeps it clean. Buy more firewood than you think you need. It burns up quickly. Bring bikes! There is so much to do explore and this park is huge. Visit Striplings General Store, it’s so worth it! If your family is into game night, bring the games! We made so many memories at campsite #54! We frequent Lake Blackshear often and had the pleasure to Glamp....they have put a lot of thought and effort into making this a fun experience...whether for a family, friends or a couples weekend it is truly perfect. So nice to show up and have everything ready to go...cute, fun vibe. Our host went above and beyobnd to make sure our stay was PERFECT. We will be back and if you are considering it, you wont have any regrets."

"My sister and I had a wonderful experience at Timberline Glamping at Lake Blackshear. Our camping area was neat and perfectly set up. We had requested fire wood and it was provided. We were amazed at how beautiful the inside of our tent was - everything we needed was provided! We enjoyed our time sitting out by a camp fire at night. Then enjoyed the luxury of sleeping in a comfortable bed! Timberline Glamping is in a perfect location - you have all the amenities that are provided by the camp host at the state park. I actually needed help unlocking my bike from my sister's truck, and one of the state park employees was there to help. It was a perfect situation having Timberline Glamping providing the accommodations within a state park. We look forward to another trip to Lake Blackshear, and we definitely will stay at Timberline Glamping."

"My sister and I went glamping last weekend at Lake Blackshear, GA. What an amazing experience! We arrived at the campground and found our site without any issues as it was well marked (site 59]. The grounds were very well maintained with more than adequate parking, lighting, water access, a large picnic table and fire pit. We were blown away when we opened our tent. The furnishings and decor were perfection. It is hard to believe that 6 people could have slept comfortably in the tent. The king bed was luxurious and the two sets of bunk beds were perfect for kids or adults looking for a cozy spot! It was nice to have the small fridge and coffee maker so close and convenient. We had firewood delivered as an add in and we’re surprised at the more than adequate supply provided. We spent most of our time sitting around the fire and enjoying the sites and sounds of a campground. Our family grew up camping and it is wonderful to see that couples, families and sisters still enjoy camping. Y’all do this!!! It will do your body, heart and soul good!"
