Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dahlonega - University Area, an IHG Hotel

"Perfectly situated in the heart of Dahlonega. A lot of shops and eatery places are within walking distance. The only thing that made it four stars for me is the lack of a bar or restaurant inside. That and the fact there was a wrestling tournament in the area and 5 of the schools was booked here also. There was some a lot of slamming doors early in the morning and a lot of hallway traffic the evening before. . The staff at the desk were very welcoming. As a person that frequents the gym, there is very limited equipment here also."

"This hotel was hands down the best I’ve ever stayed at! Right time I walked through the door it smelled so good! Almost like cinnamon! Then we got to our room and it was so clean. Like top notch clean! Smelled so good! The service was amazing and everyone was so nice. Can’t wait to come back again!"

"This is by far the best Holiday Inn Express we have ever stayed. Jackie and Emma at the Front Desk were amazing. Got us into our room and Emma gave a great restaurant suggestion that was perfect for us celebrating our 23rd Wedding Anniversary. I watched them both with other guest and their customer service skills were unmatched. The room was super clean and very updated. The location is perfect. Just steps to all the shopping and dining in downtown Dahlonega. I would suggest this hotel to anyone over a B&B and will definitely come back here again. Thanks Jackie and Emma for making our stay so perfect. You both rock!"

"This was such a lovely stay! The front desk staff is so nice and helpful, specifically Jackie who helped us when we first arrived! They have a little snack store for late night cravings and a huge selection for breakfast. I love how it’s right downtown and you can walk anywhere, and that checkout is at 11 so you don’t have to rush out in the morning. 10/10 recommend!"

"I did not feel that this hotel lived up to the value I was expecting after paying $888 for 2 nights here. The lobby area was pretty nice and had TVs with news or sports. The breakfast was pretty plain / nothing special. Coffee offerings were limited with no flavors offered. My room had some hairs and smudges of who-knows-what on various cabinets and counters. The hotel was not luxurious, and offered limited views of the town. I really wish I stayed elsewhere and saved some money. Overall the best parts were the convenient parking garage, and the quick elevators. The gym was also pretty nice. I do have to say the desk staff was wonderful, and I know they personally do not set the prices. Kudos to the staff for being very helpful."
