Days Inn by Wyndham Dahlonega University Area

"I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and this last time was my best experience there. Every other time I've stayed there there has been issues with the room, no hot water,etc. The rooms are fairly clean, at least this time they were, I'm thinking probably they have a new cleaning staff. The people that they have come in and paint and do work there are not very good at their jobs because most everywhere you look paint is slopped everywhere drift everywhere and there's no fit and finish look. The morning breakfast is okay I don't expect a hot meal other than warm toaster. But it's certainly okay for a quick breakfast bite to eat. As I said, this is the best experience I've had out of a handful of stays I've had there. My Hope Is that the hotel is getting a bit better. Will try again staying there next time I'm in town."

"Decent room for a decent price. Walls are a little thin and you can hear all the noises outside. Great shower, soft towels, comfy bed, fridge and a microwave. I’d stay again."

"Your room has bed bugs. Spoke with an employee at the front desk that refused and help and refused to take accountability. What a horrible experience. Not only am I out the money for the room I’m also out of my pocket for wellness items such a sprays, creams, and a truck cleaning bill."

"Went to room #104. Began unpacking and noticed the bathroom wasn’t super clean, the tv and phone looked like they haven’t been cleaned in years, so I checked the sheets. Pulled them back and there was dirt and grass under the sheets. I went to the front office while I left my teenage son in the room. Someone (looks like another family member related to the staff) shows up at my room, dusts off the bed and then tells me he will “change the sheets” and said that would be ok. I said no, pulled back the sheets to the second bed and it too was dirty. I told them to move me to another room. Was moved to room #209. Got to that room, sheets were clean but the room was old, worn and carpet was suspect but at this point it was midnight and we just wanted to go to bed. Got up the next morning to shower, found hair in the shower and near the toilet. The shower curtain (cloth) was full of mold. I had used points to book and didn’t have a choice to move hotels or I would have. I’ve stayed at roadside “mom & pop” hotels that were better than this. I’m done with Wyndham rewards. If this is the brand they are representing I’ll move rewards. Absolutely unacceptable!"

"Hotel is what you'd expect, it's not a 5 star hotel, so don't expect a 5 star room. But it is worth it! Perfect location, but don't think you will get the view from your room that you get from the road, because there are too many bushes/trees that need to be trimmed up, otherwise you get a "key hole" view of the mountains in between branches. Overall the rooms were clean, I wouldn't say updated, but about as updated as you get! Very colorful, pretty colors. Breakfast is a normal continental breakfast food type. We did not get a chance to check out the pool, but it looked clean and kept! Highly recommend booking directly with the front desk, as they will price match, and end up cheaper. Walking distance to a gas station, short distance to downtown Dahlonega! We did end up with ants in our room, so make sure all of your food and drinks fit inside the fridge... service from the front desk was great! They were attentive, understanding, and overall great customer service! Very fast check in as well!"
