"My kitty showed up at my back door during a tornado one year to the day of my fiancé suddenly passing away to a stroke. I had been grieving pretty hard for a year and quite isolated. The kitty wasn’t chipped and after putting up fliers and looking for her possible owners to no avail, she became mine. "Last Saturday we brought our Lucy dog in. She had a bad night and it was a terrible morning. All of the folks at Mt. Yonah Animal Hospital treated us with genuine compassion and care. Lucy was not a regular patient but they took care of her as if she had been one of their own from the start. The entire staff worked with us to help Lucy, unfortunately she did not rebound like we all hoped and we had to make the difficult decision this past Thursday concerning her quality of life.
