"I waited 300 miles all day to have some southern cooking and The Oil Lamp served it up right! It’s cafeteria style and being a Yankee I was overwhelmed with the choices. I went with the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, stuffing, turnips, black eyed peas, and pecan pie. It was all really good. And the price was about what you’d pay for dinner somewhere else. The young ladies running the counter and serving the tables were very pleasant and helpful! We were driving to Florida from Indiana and I found this on the map. Glad we made the choice to stop."

"Very good experience! First time ever been here and it was very good food. There was assorted country style home cooked meals, from Mac n cheese, catfish, steak, loaded mashed potatoes, side saladsand pies for desserts. The service was was excellent. The employees were all happy and pleasant to talk with. One lady stopped by the table many times to offer napkins and clean the table. It was a very nice place to eat!"
