"A fun place to eat if you're a fan of the movie. Fried green tomatoes were hot and tasty served with a dipping sauce. No cream or milk for coffee. Restaurant was freezing with small wall heaters doing their best to knock the chill off. Plates arrived at table with food barely warm (except for tomatoes which arrived hot and delicious.). A step back in time. A bit pricey without offering a lot of options. Loved the location. Go for the experience...not so much the food."
"First time coming here. Couldn't have picked a better day. The start of my birthday weekend. Spending it here! The food was wonderful. The service was outstanding. Wish I knew the lady's name. Either way, they were all great. You will have a wait. But they are fast and efficient. If you go on Saturday or Sunday, I heard the wait can be an hour or longer, so be prepared. But it is totally worth it. I had the Fried Green Tomato sandwich. Was big and yummy. My family had the fried green tomato burger with fries and sweet potato fries. They enjoyed their whole meal. Brownie Sundae was big enough for all three of us."
"Who could get this close to the whistle stop Cafe and not go there? I couldn't! Loved the many trains that went by while we were in that little town. I had a multiple veggies for lunch. Hubby had country fried steak. The onion rings were very good as were the stewed tomatoes. At first they came out cold but when I asked the server about them, she quickly replaced them with hot ones. The fried okra was a little overcooked but no biggie. The ambience was nice. Seems like a well oiled machine, the way they run the place."
"It was worth the wait! The experience itself is great. Seeing the filming locations of Fried Green Tomatoes is a classic experience, but the food...was fantastic! I had the fried green tomatoes salad with fried chicken on it. It was huge! I had enough to eat for dinner later. Definitely will come again."
