"Service was good, but food was mediocre. My friend ordered the chicken and waffles and didn’t finish it because the waffles were rock hard. My bourbon salmon was tasteless and so crispy (but on the harder side as if it was overdone). It was also very small and not fulfilling. I walked to the Chick-fil-A to the right after because I was still hungry. The inside of the restaurant is also super small and cramped. Will not be back. The waiters were very nice though! Also, it’s downtown, so you’ll need to pay to park unless it’s Sunday."
"This was a nice experience. I like the location and the service average. They were nice and accommodating. The food was good and well presented. I only took away a star because it wasn't quite what I was expecting. I wasn't wow'd or excited but I did enjoy it. I will return and try something different on the menu."
"Overall, The Place was a great stop for Sunday brunch! This place was packed, so I was super exited to get a seat at the upstairs bar. Food was a bit slow to come out—but it was obvious that meals were made to order. I went with shrimp and grits and was a bit disappointed with the meal. Instead of the tomato sauce base, I got a lot of oil. Nevertheless, the meal was pretty good. The Bloody Mary was also to-die for!"
"We had the upstairs reserved for a special occasion. The service was extraordinary. Caleigh, Erianna and Grant provided exceptional service. BRAVO. The food orders were served quickly and hot from the kitchen. The fried pickles and black eyed pea hummus were perfect starters. The salmon, fried chicken and waffles and burger were served with large portions and nice presentation. Personable attention, fun and inviting atmosphere and good food. Highest recommendation."
"The food was good. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffle and berry reduction was excellent so were the Gouda grits. The chicken was a little over cooked, and it could have used more syrup. Our server was friendly and quick, especially with beer tastes."
