My Girlfriend’s Place Nail Salon 4960 Redan Road, Stone Mountain, GA 30088

"First, I will say that I will return and tell others about My Girlfriend's Place. I searched for a black owned nail shop for my birthday nails and found this one. I checked for a website and Instagram. I saw that there was a name your price special so it was perfect. I walk in and was pleasantly greeted by baby Jayda ( I overheard her say her name). I didn't wait long for another tech. I don't know her name but she did a good job. I'm particular and I have psoriasis on my hand and nails. She was gentle but not talkative. I respect it because my nails were done in good time. I'm just use to a more bubbly high vibe environment. My only complaint is the fact that the "name your price" special is ONLY a special when YOU mention it AT THE BEGINING of the service. When she said $60 for my nails, I was like, "y'all not doing the name your price?" She said there was nothing she could do because I didn't say it at the begining. Maybe I misread the IG post or hand written sign but beginning vs end of service was not specified. Again, I would definitely come back. I really want to support this establishment because it has a really nice setup, black owned, and my experience wasn't bad. I just didn't like the whole "special" debacle. "I NEVER DO BAD REVIEWS BUT HERE IT IS! I went in on a Wednesday to get a fill in & they started coming off that Saturday. I called & she told me I would have to pay for repairs. Mind you this isn’t my first time here & I know the work here is AMAZING! I just wanted my nails fixed & I feel like I shouldn’t have to pay AGAIN ! Plus she hung up on me y’all! NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO THERE! Plus she was super rude. GIRL BYE!"

"I started with a young lady for my first time. She did my nails because I was looking for a new tech and informed her of that. I spent 158$ getting my toes and nails done they were cute but too long they had stones an designs . I came back 3 weeks later great products would have lasted longer but I needed get them cut down they were too long for me and I prefer get just an overlay over my natural nails, I bought my best friend in with me 3 weeks later she knew the owner of the shop an because I told her that the girl who did my nails was good with nails she came with me and used my nail tech. The nail tech told me my nails alone cost me $195?! for a soak off 15$ of the $158 nails that was she originally did and a overlay on my natural nails 45$ with three or four stones on each nail. Well, it’s the MATH for me the nail tech told my friend I bought with me to use her service’s that her nails overlay with a pedicure was going to be 125$ I will be using the shop because of the quality of products are great but I don’t know if I’m gonna use the same nail tech because she almost made it where I wasn’t going to use the shop again as I felt I was being CHEATED , but because of the product And the fact that my best friend told me her friend owns the shop, I will just a different nail tech. I really needed a new nail tech that can keep my nails up every 3 weeks with my natural nails. But Lmk I left a picture of how I like my nails is what the technician is telling me the price 195$ she just lost her customer. I will be going to that shop and looking for a new nail tech there. Didn’t use nail tech name because I’m not messy but they know who they are…PERIOD"
