"Can't say enough good things about the fine veteran folks at VFW Post 9143 & the wonderful Auxiliary members we met last night. Every single person we came into contact with welcomed a couple of civilians like us like we were family. It was truly an honor be able to spend an evening with these heroes. Commander Mastin is a credit to her post -- she was organized, professional, efficient and made us feel at home. We are looking forward to the next time we can get together. "Appears I'm not alone in wondering why these people feel the need to fire guns @ 8am on a weekday. Thought they had a bit more respect for their neighbors, guess not. Reply to your response: "These people" should be able to find more suitable/professional location to practice that does not disturb the peace, the very thing they are hired to preserve. I have serious reservations about any "professional" member of law enforcement that would use a range built out a dirt trench in the back of an old house. Great response, still sadder than ever."
"My wife was recognized at an award dinner there. What a wonderful experience! These folks there do so much for our community, and their lodge is as warm, loving, and welcoming as anywhere you'll ever go. The dinner was all homemade and delicious, and you could feel the love in the food and its service. The VFW is a wonderful group of people, and they created a moment for my wife she'll never forget."
