Ezell's Catfish

"When we walked in, our feet were sticking to the floor. We should have turned around and walked out then. We ordered an onion ring appetizer, whole catfish and a catfish fillet dinner. Everything was so greasy that we could not eat it!!! The waitress was very nice and took off one of the meals but we will not be back!!!"

"Emily, your service was a 0 out of 10. I called ahead and told you I needed ketchup and hot sauce for my Togo order and you purposefully gave me one of each for my kids meal. Proceeded to tell me you only get one ketchup and one hot sauce for a kids meal when in fact I ordered the same meal a week ago and received a handful of both ketchup and hot sauce. Your hair will never grow being that messy."

"I had originally left a less than desirable review since the food we ordered was not up to their normal standards however, they immediately called us and apologized and gave us a meal on them to try again. Today we returned at 1705 we placed the same order. I arrived 20 minutes later when they said it would be ready and waited again an additional 20 minutes to be helped. This time when we received our meal the two tarter sauces were dumped over in the bag. We immediately saw it and informed the waitress. She apologized and came back with the brown bag and folded it over this time. I opened it and there was only one tartar sauce for our large catfish plate. I then asked her for the other tartar sauce ( since it originally had two) and she then told me the meal only comes with one then reluctantly got me the other. We got home and had the exact same negative experience as the first time. Very fishy catfish, everything was soggy, and this time we found random bones in our fried catfish filets (see photos for reference). I had a lot of hope that our first experience was just a one off since I grew up in mobile eating at Ezells but it does not appear to be the case. Quality control in the kitchen is not happening and staff are not up to par at this location. We will not be back in the future."

"From the atmosphere, to the customer service to the food - my first experience here was A+. Ordered the fried oyster dinner and enjoyed every bit of it. Oysters and hushpuppies were fried to perfection. Can't wait to come back to Columbus just to visit!"
