Fireside Jamaican Restaurant

"The food here is NASTYYYYY. I've tried to give them so many chances over the years, but I just can't keep quiet anymore. I'm writing this review after years of trying to give them a break. The food here used to be good! Not anymore. Not for years! I haven't eaten from here in over a year because of how bad the food tastes and how overpriced they've become. AND NOT TO MENTION THE RUDE AND NASTY SERVICE. But today, I really wanted some breakfast and I stopped here after going to 3 other Jamaican restaurants that didn't have any breakfast food ready, even though I knew I would regret it. I got the calllaloo, porridge and dumplings. The dumplings were hard as rocks. The callaloo was salty. The porridge was also very salty and tasteless. Tasted like grits. And for all this I paid over 20$. Just for 3 items. On other occasions, I've tried their lunch/dinner items and they were not good either. The oxtail is tough and lacks taste. The stew chicken is very awful. The salmon is lackluster. Everything is either bland or too salty. LET ME REPEAT THAT.... THE FOOD HERE IS RUSHED, FLAVORLESS, AND BLAND. I'm sorry but I'm baffled at how this place is still open. Their food is so not good. Will never return."

"I ordered this on Uber eats it got here on time at 8:20pm and it’s been hard finding a place with good oxtails since my old spot closed down and they came very close I definitely recommend tasty!"

"Fireside use to a nice restaurant with good service and great food. Over the years the service and the food has declined. The lady at the register has the worst attitude. When I figure out what her name is I’m going to post it here. I have witnessed people walk out because of her attitude. My favorite place to go to now is D&M the derive is great and the food is even better."

"New to the area. I've been trying every Caribbean spot in the area. I've been here twice before during the week but it's always crowded. Went here on a Sat around 1pm. I was in line for 25 minutes BEFORE I COULD ORDER. Only 2 other customers in front of me. They have buffet style food set out but the move EXTREMELY SLOW. No urgency for the customers. By the time I ordered the line had grown to about 12 people in line. THEY NEED EXTRA HELP or the employees need to move with a sense of urgency when they see the spot getting packed. Some of my pet peeves....buffet food not covered, saw 2 flies land on the white rice....but not many flies in the restaurant,....employees not wearing gloves, employees having extensive conversations over open food..... There are other options in the area that I'm more comfortable with. The flavor of the food was OK. Update 11/08/2022: This is not it. Taking another star away. Rice stale. Salmon tough as steak."
