The Happy Taco

"I've lived nearby for years and watched this location change from restaurant to restaurant, but I really hope happy taco is here to stay. The service and the food are absolutely amazing. You can taste the attention to detail in everything they serve, even the rice and beans, which I feel are often overlooked and lacking flavor at a lot of other restaurants. The birria consume is the best I've ever tasted that I didn't make myself at home. Being a Mexican American, im very picky about bought out Mexican food. The service is also exceptional. We had multiple staff members that weren't even our server come to check on us during our meal. Everyone was very welcoming. If you drink, they have some great cocktails. The "Si Hay Alcohol" is delicious and definitely don't skip on the "something different" margarita flight. The mango chamoy flavor is to die for. Thank you for such a great experience!"

"I had a great experience and was a bit surprised how much I enjoyed this place. Absolutely not what I was expecting. From the outside, it looks like a small eatery. When you go in, it's like pandoras box. A large dining room with a well stocked bar. The salsa they gave you up front was excellent. I had the chicken burrito. It was delicious. All the food they served us was top-notch. When I saw the prices, I was skeptical. Best value I seen in town. There is plenty of space to move around. It was not cramped at all. Our waiter was amazing. He took our orders without writing anything down and didn't make any mistakes. Everything was perfect. This shopping Plaza over the years has had multiple businesses come and go. I think they found a keeper. I highly recommend this place."

"The handmade Birria was not crispy enough for me. However, it was cheesy and cheesy is what I like. The consume’ was good. The booth was not cleaned good when we were seated. My husband had the regular Birria taco and it was better to me. The chips and salsa was good. Alright the second batch of tortillas tasted like old and new chips were mixed together. Probably be back to try something else."

"Amazing service and fantastic atmosphere. The salsa and corn were fantastic apps. The tacos were tender and juicy, but other reviewers show street tacos, ours weren't that for some reason.. The steak in the burrito suffered from too much rice to stand out (pictured)."

"We stopped by to give the happy taco a try since we have been seeing some pretty good reviews about it. The restaurant itself is very nice and clean inside. The margaritas were delicious and so was the queso and guacamole. We ordered several different tacos to try and I’ve gotta say they were all very good! Definitely give this place a try. It’s in a tough spot so they need all the local patrons to keep it alive. Will definitely be back."
