"Good BBQ! The staff was friendly and they have a good selection of items."
"Consistently good BBQ. The menu has all of the basics and they are all very good. They try to keep the atmosphere like a small town BBQ joint but each location looks the same, no unique character…missed opportunity in my opinion. Overall the consistency keeps us coming back, especially when we are traveling. Good food and good service makes it easy to recommend."
"I would just like to say that I’ve eaten at this restaurant many, many times and have had the normal amount of issues that you would have at any restaurant that you frequented that often. My last experience though really was calling on me to write this review. I had a very unappetizing togo order yesterday. I had ordered 1 pound of pulled chicken with all white meat. I got home to find out it wasn’t all white meat and that it included raw chicken. I called the manger as soon as I got home only to be treated like a suspect in a crime. Are you sure you ordered white meat? I said yes I’m sure. Well, we’re out of white meat we’ve been out of white meat what time did you call? I said I called about 7 o’clock. He said oh, well that was around the time that we ran out. And then it was didn’t you check it before you left? Well, they wrap the meat about three times in cellophane so no I didn’t. The next thing was, well, you’ve had problems with your chicken in the past. Yes, I have. One time you gave me turkey instead of chicken. One time you gave me dark meat instead of white meat. And one time you gave me chopped instead of pulled. Those seem like legitimate issues to me. I offered to send him a picture of the food numerous times but he wasn’t interested. What that tells me is he’s just trying to appease me. He doesn’t even care enough to take the picture so that he can show it to his staff and at least hold someone accountable for sending out food that could get someone sick. And lastly, I wish that people were able to figure out that the more money and the more often you go to a restaurant, the percentage of issues goes up. So I don’t think that when you eat somewhere as often as I have eaten there and had four complaints over two years is really that out of line. And I also wish that they could use some logic in looking at the amount of money that I spend there and the amount that I tip and figure out that maybe I’m not someone just trying to maybe get free food or whatever they were trying to make me feel like I was doing. The manager offered to give me a credit that would be waiting for me at the restaurant, but needless to say I wanted a refund. I will not be going back."
"WOW! We stopped by Hiram on our way home, googled “restaurants near me and Jim’ n Nicks popped up on the list and I can always do Bar-B-Q. First time here and it is fantastic. Katelyn is soft speaking but a great server. I had brisket and the wife is still eating her salad with chicken. This will be on our weekly tour. And thanks for the banana pudding. It was close to mama’s but she also gave me more. LOL."
"Nice bbq place, I have passed by several times and it’s always packed. I ordered via doordash. Chicken tenders and fries was lack luster. Fries were soggy but that could be because with traffic it takes 20 mins to get home. Ribs were ok they tasted better on day 2. Mac & Cheese was pretty good. They got a star by themselves. Cheese biscuits and butter were so delicious, best thing I ate, so they got their own star too. They got star 3rd star because I got it delivered, sometimes food tastes better when you sit down to eat. I will visit there and eat in and edit review if it’s worth it! Deviled eggs tasted great until I bit into a pungent onion. So if you like strong onion bites… this is for! Just wasn’t what I like in deviled eggs."
