Volcano Steak & Sushi

"Recently visited Volcano Steak and Sushi in Hiram, GA. Impressed by the restaurant's cool atmosphere and mix of modern and traditional styles. The sushi and hibachi were top-notch, full of flavor, and served promptly. Didn't try the Korean BBQ this time, but it's on my list for the next visit. The 4-star rating comes down to the cost. The dishes, while delicious, are on the pricey side, and the 18% automatic gratuity added to the bill was a bit of a surprise. Great place for quality food, but keep the pricing in mind. Looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu."

"The parking lots is very small and alot of people have to park in the Aldi lot next door or the wooded area behind the restaurant that they have set up for customers. As for the food it was decent. The soup to me tasted my Campbell's chicken noodle soup from the can minus the chicken or noodles just the creamy broth an a few mushrooms and the house ginger salad was overly mayo flavored with little ginger flavor added in. They use the same dressing as their yum yum sauce which was very disappointing. Their ginger dipping sauce for the meal was decent and better then the dressing/ yum yum sauce. The sushi was on point. Me and my wife ordered the Angus steak roll, a spicy Callie roll, and a scorpion roll. The rolls tasted fresh and were nicely packed an they didn't skimp on the size of the rolls. The combination dinners are good but the 4 Oz portions are kinda small, you fell like you only get half a chicken beast and half a steak when you see it cooked. The couple beside us even were surprised and asked the cook about it when they saw their ribeye steaks being put on the flat top. The cook was very energetic and he was a pleasure to have and kept the kids entertained. He did a great job with the meal and the other guests were pleased so that was a plus, I've been to some Japanese steak houses were the cook just came out and cooked with no show and it was just a bore. But this guy was great and would make me want to come back. The place is very loud and there's a good bar there for drinks, tvs up for games and news. On the right have side as you come in are a line of flat top table from the front to the rear of the restaurant and on the left hand side would be the area for customers that don't want the dinner show to sit. All in all it was decent, the dinner meals were good and the sushi was great but the salad and soup were sub par. For me at a Japanese steak house the salad and soup set the bar for the meal and the bar was set low for me in how I felt about the meal."

"Day 2 of soft opening, they need improvement in organization. All reviews should have grace, respect any empathy especially when they JUST opened. I suggest that waiters have assigned areas. Once they get that together, the customer experience would be excellent. The food was absolutely great. The place is beautiful. I will be back again. Next time, I want to try the robot waitress. Update went back again, service timing much better. The food is still great."

"The sushi here is delicious. We loved the vibe and the atmosphere created by the lighting. The servers are quite attentive, which made the experience that much better. I didn’t try any of the hibachi, so I can’t mention it here, but definitely stop in for a roll or two and enjoy!"

"First time eating here and we loved it! Place was absolutely busy but my husband and I were able to sit at the bar and had very prompt service! Drinks came out fast, we both ordered sushi. My husband was able to make substitutions to his sushi rolls which we really appreciated because we’ve had places not allow that so that was a bonus for us! Food was plated beautifully and tasted absolutely delicious! We can’t wait to come back and can’t wait to try the Korean BBQ when that opens!"
