Reviews
"Beautiful place and views. However, the visitor center is limited on what they carry. No commemorative coins like other parks. Also they do not take cash, cards only. If you try a search for Lookout mountain it will not come up on Garmin for this location. Signs in the neighborhood have been removed for it. They do refer to Pointe Park however. Just not a good vibe from the neighborhood watch for tourists."
"Watch out for that last step on the path when you are looking at the view if anything like me.Beautiful view does cost to get in unless have a national park pass .Museum just a short distance .There are flights of stairs to walk up and down to get too museum and the panoramic view."
"Such views. Lots of history to see and read about. Enjoyable walk, quite a few steps."
"If you have time you should go. I could learn the part of historical war. Also the view was incredible."
"Simply incredible views. The visitor's centre is really well presented, and the painting very impressive. We had a conversation with a lovely volunteer, he was such a nice gentleman. I wish I had caught his name, but he used to be a teacher of visual arts. He was so friendly and enthusiastic. Rangers are also available to give talks on the battlefield, and the times for these are displayed by the gate."
