Hands On Discovery Center 1212 Suncrest Drive, Gray, TN 37615

"I remember visiting as the same age as my son to the former location in downtown Johnson City. I was extremely excited to take my son to Hands On, and combined with the Gray fossil site, I couldn't imagine anything more exciting! I am heartbroken, my son had a blast but man, you'd think it would be close to the original but better! No airplane, no shadow wall, no black light hallway, no Noha's Ark, no tornado tube, no grocery store... The host st the desk even told me to lower my expectations.I literally had dreams about Hands On as a kid. My son will never get to experience the amazement and wonder of the previous museum... Still a good experience overall l, but please. Please, please! Bring it back to it's former glory!!!"

"We spent a rainy Sunday here for 3+ hours doing everything! This was absolutely worth every dollar for entry. Even the teen played with Keva planks and enjoyed herself along with the younger siblings. If you're on the fence, hop on the side that stops here."

"I love this place. So: much fun. They got an elevator which is great for people like me that can't do steps. Praise the Lord. The prices are great as well. 7 people only $52 that's amazing. The staff was so nice. Parking is amazing as well."

"This place has a lot of potential. It has several exhibits being made and updated. They could use a snack bar. My little loved the craft area and spent a lot of time there. It might be helpful to have a recording about what principle (electricity, air pressure, etc.) is going on at each station for littles to hear and better understand. That would help kids grasp more information."

"There were some fun activities for young children. There are not a lot of exhibits at this time, but as they continue to find more, I'm sure it will be phenomenal. It was awesome being able to watch the paleontologist and students working behind the scenes to piece together the remains of the fossilized animals and plants."
