"Today: Valentine's Day, my partner and I made a reservation at High Society with high hopes for a romantic evening. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. The lobster pasta, a dish we were particularly looking forward to, turned out to be disappointingly bland and the lobster shells were hard to crack. Adding to the disappointment, I found a string or thread on one of the lobster claws, which was quite off-putting. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, they reassured me that it wasn't a serious issue and offered to replace the dish with another option. However, by that point, the charm of the evening had been dampened, and we declined the offer. Another notable drawback was the excessively loud music that permeated the restaurant. The volume made it challenging to engage in conversation with both our waitress and each other. Despite the waitress's efforts to be accommodating and helpful, the noise level hindered our ability to fully enjoy the dining experience. In summary, while the waitress was attentive and tried her best to make our evening enjoyable, the overall experience at High Society on Valentine's Day left much to be desired. The lackluster lobster pasta, coupled with the intrusive music, detracted from what was supposed to be a memorable dining experience."
"I did not enjoy my experience at High Society. My friend and I sat down and weren’t served for a good 20 minutes. We put in the order for drinks and tapas and didn’t receive our drinks for another 15 minutes, I have no idea where the server was, but the hostess (bless her heart) came and brought us our drinks that were just sitting at the bar. The server came around 10 minutes later and brought us out some drinks that tasted different than the ones we originally ordered but we took them for the long wait time. We talked mostly to pass the time but music was so loud, I could barely even hear my friend talking. We finally got our food around the one hour mark. It was $18 for three small meatballs. They were the star of the experience as they tasted pretty good. My friend got the lamb chops and they weren’t that good. They tasted burnt and not in a good, charred way. I decided to order the mussels and when they arrived, they smelled so bad my friend said they smelled like a dead cat. We tried it and spit it out. It tasted how it smelled. Salty and nasty. Whatever tomato sauce they use needs to be thrown out. The server said when she walked to the back, they were asking her what that smell was and that she didn’t realize how bad they actually smelled and apologized again (this was her 3rd time considering she barely came to check on us and our drinks and food all took forever. Sweet girl though). Once the restaurant cleared out, it was freezing (18 degree night) and it felt like they turned the A/C on or something it was so cold. The restaurant wasn’t too nice for Buckhead standards, but the ambiance was nice and the DJ played great music. The whole place was lit. Very good vibes overall. The automatic Service Fee was 20% which is probably why the servers weren’t pressed to provide actual decent, attentive service. Parking was $20 at the lot in the Buckhead Butcher shop, not sure if they validate but they didn’t offer. Overall: the food wasn’t good, the service wasn’t good, and for Buckhead (and really anywhere) this place was a disappointment."
"My waitress was really great. I don’t remember her name but she has a butterfly tattoo. My only complaint is the portion size on the food. They gave me an extremely tiny amount of rice for a large fish. I mentioned that the serving was small to the food runner and he bought me a plate of rice. (I didn’t request him to.) When I got my bill they charged me $6 for it, but thankfully my waitress removed it. The side of vegetables was extremely sour..too much lime. The fish however was really good."
"First time here and glad we came. Came for my birthday for brunch and it was a vibe. Decorated so nicely, sleek and upscale. Live dj was good, played some good music. Our server was great and never let my mimosa get low!! I had the chicken and waffle sliders and bottomless mimosas. Those mimosas were so good, and made just right (more champagne than juice). My husband had the breakfast burrito and said it was good. My food was good. I enjoyed everything about this place. I'd go back and definitely recommend!"
