"This firm contacted me but kept hidden who they were. The staff person called to say that she just "knew" one of my customers and was essentially just trying to help her out, sounding like a friend or acquaintance. This staff person providing only her first name started asking me questions and asked me to write some kind of letter that I had never heard of involving my business transactions with my own client, who was now this firm's client, working against me, but who this firm made appear as being just a personal acquaintance of this staff person, and not handling this matter as the law firm that they are. Had I known that my client had retained this law firm, then I could have provided more complete information, but that did not happen. If the law firm says that were not retained, then why did they call me in representing my own client against me? It's highly unprofessional at the very least to hide and mislead, and especially without a Letter of Representation as a law firm."
