"Purchased a wall clock from dollar General on 12/2 during my lunch break.Clock battery box was damaged. So the next time I went to work (which is an hour drive for me)I brought the clock to exchange.I was told it has to be within 24 hours for an exchange.II spend easily 300-400 a month in DG.It will go else where from now on."
"I love my dollar general! The girls are so friendly, they make you feel like family when you Grace the doorway! Products are tidy and finding it is a breeze! The best place in our small town, here in Monticello Florida!"
"Not far from my house and usually has what I need. During certain times of the day the lines get pretty long and there is usually only one cashier but then when the other employee finally comes up front from whatever they might be doing then the line seems to move pretty fast. Not a vast selection of products but enough to get by I suppose. Also they don't seem to care about their signage being incorrect because I have caught mistakes on several occasions. This usually works in my favor though. Still unsure why they won't hire me when I know for a fact I could make the store better. Also the employees are as helpful as they can be given the circumstances that they have to work under. Once I noticed the larger cans of Coca~Cola were on a stand and one side said $1 each and the other side said 2 for $3, which makes no sense to me. I got my cell phone for a cheap price because they hadn't taken the sale sign down from live 6 months earlier. And finally the other thing I noticed was that the "learn to read" flyers which had coupons that expired at least 2 years earlier. I can only imagine what other mistakes are there that I haven't even noticed. Other than that it is a convenient place to shop when you are unable to go anywhere else."
"The associates were friendly enough, but as I was waiting to check out I rummaged through the Clearance items and noticed most of the FOOD products were Expired (some more than 6 months)!! So, on multiple occasions - multiple individuals touched the product and Never took the time to dispose of it OR worse case scenario Purposefully chose to sell EXPIRED products I'm pretty sure that is NOT what Home Office would advocate..."
"I've been to this location in the last 2 weeks, the store is always clean. I'm rating it this because of 2 things, some of the employees were co.plaining about a co-worker being late and this last time I tried to get my change from a $2 dollar purchase out of a $5 in quarters. The cashier said they don't not "sell" change. I had to ask again to make sure I heard right and she said it a second time. That is when I chose to correct her I said it was asking for my change back the way I requested it, exchange not purchasing change. Oh well, I guess my car will have to wait to be vacuumed."
