Pig on a Pie

"Traveling from Kansas City to Florida we love to stop at independently owned and operated restaurants. When we read the review for Pig on a Pie lunch special of wings + slices of pizza we made our way off the highway. Those pecan smoked wings are delicious and the pizza had a crispy crust and smothered with toppings and gooey cheese. The owners were friendly and really wanted us to enjoy our lunch - which we did. If we could have packed up those wings to have for the Super Bowl we would have - Go KC Chiefs!!"

"Overall, the food was good; however, the pricing was outrageous! All I ordered was 5 wings, a side of baked beans, and a medium sweet teas and it was $15. The food, service, and atmosphere were pleasant; however, do the fact that a meal for a single person was $15 I will not be returning."

"My coworker, who is currently in Georgia for work, called me this afternoon ~demanding~ I write a review on his behalf as he was simply blown away by his experience with Pig On A Pie. The following is his review: "Saying this place is phenomenal is an understatement. I'm an attorney who is visiting the area on business, and last night I was presenting to 30 railroad workers & needed catering for the event. Pig On A Pie exceeded any possible expectation. I ordered the Catering Option #2 which included 15 pizzas, 100 wings, drinks, and plates. The price was a STEAL coming out to roughly $10 per person to eat/drink. Everyone, including myself, left full and extremely satisfied with this catered dining experience. I would be eating here weekly if I lived here. You can't beat the quality of food and certainly not the price. Pig On A Pie hit out of the park." Important Note (on my behalf): My coworker is what would be considered a "Food Snob" (an extreme critic of food quality/wants only the best of the best), so do NOT take his review with a grain of salt. "Overall, decent bbq, some of the best I’ve tried in the area. A lot of people were getting take out pizza, so I assume it’s solid as well The smoked wings were good, sauce and seasoning was good. My only complaint is I wish they popped them in the oven or fryer for a minute to crisp the skin Potato salad had a great texture, nice big chunks of potato, but was a little bland. Added a little mustard and it was perfect would return to give the pork, ribs, and pizza a try"

"Today on Halloween I stopped by Pig on a Pie, and the owners and staff was great. We talked about the plan and the vision that God has given them. I truly enjoyed my time with them today. If you are in the area stop in they have 2slices with 3 topping's, 5 smoked wings,and a 20oz drink for 13.99 and it was D-licious. If you stop by tell them hello from Backyard Bobby's Q-zine."
